Bounce Blowdry Bar

This was my first time going to a blow dry bar and I had an awesome experience! I needed my hair done for an early wedding on a Saturday, and was happy to see they had appointments available at 8am. We started right on time, and did a quick little consultation before getting shampooed. I recommend checking out the styles they have on their website if you’re not sure how to describe what you want; I asked for the «Smooth Operator» which is voluminous straight hair with a little bit of bend to it. I absolutely loved how my hair looked and my stylist Robbie did an amazing job. I definitely plan on coming back for another special occasion.

This wonderful blow dry bar has the best customer service! And that’s probably the worst thing about their whole approach. Get it? That was a joke. First of all I am particular about my hair. Always A bit nervous letting anybody do anything however at Bounce Blowdry, Nadia, was the first one who blew dry my hair came out gorgeous it lasted for three days and I was in heaven I recently went back there and Have had 3 other ladies. Nicole I think my brain is dead … But anyone there knows their stuff
that was a bit of confusion about my appointment I couldn’t get through on the phone and I went ahead and messaged them through Unilocal and I immediately got an answer back from Karen one of the owners (she is a treasure as well as a miracle
Worker as she got me an appt. By moving. People around. (who does that these days???)
The 2^nd time I had gone ahead and booked online just to make sure that I would be able to get in on a busy Saturday. Unfortunately I had an unexpected back problem and had to change it. But sure enough everything went off just beautifully the people that work there couldn’t be nicer I like every single one that I’ve ever met I plan on going back again and again and again and I can’t give it a better review you’ll feel better you’ll feel pretty and you’ll feel. That you really did something nice for yourself by the time you leave. So go on take a chance it’s going to make you feel great there’s also one I think it’s on Grandview/​Lake Merritt I haven’t been there yet, but I am positive it is is good as the one in Berkeley thank you again everybody at bounce blowdry bar

I had a blow out by Ana and it was fantastic. I have difficult hair (curly and thin) and have had many blow outs from various places and this was one of the best ones I have had. I felt great and confident attending a wedding that night and the blow out lasted all night. I recommend seeing Ana and will be back.

This was my first experience at a blow-​dry bar and it was ok. The stylist who did my hair did an reasonably good job and was very friendly, but my hair, while pretty, was somehow a bit lifeless after being styled, which is really not the norm for me as I have naturally curly hair. I get the sense that the stylists here are trained to use a similar technique on all clients which may not always yield the desired effect, although likely gives a degree of consistency.
The positives included my friendly stylist, a convenient location and I didn’t have to wait long after arriving at my appointment time. I had booked a scalp massage with my appointment and that part was missed. At the time, I was wondering if the little bit of scrubbing that she did when she shampooed me was supposed to be the massage, but the receptionist confirmed that it was not… just an error on their end. Not the end of the world, but I was looking forward to that part of the experience.

Bronte did an amazing job on my hair. I’m always a little wary about places like this because not everyone can handle un-​relaxed ethnic hair, she knocked it out of the park. My only disappointment, for which I knocked off a star, is that I was charged an extra $ 20 because my service took longer than an hour and a half. I have a lot of very curly hair. Such is life I guess. Not enough to keep me from coming back. Again, Bronte was phenomenal.

I’m so thrilled that a blow dry bar has opened up in the Berkeley area! I stumbled upon this place as I was getting my daily coffee fix from Philz. I drive pass it every day and finally decided to give it a try. I called to book an appt. around 8:15am on a Friday morning and they took me in at 9am the same day. The lady who picked up the phone was so nice and great customer service skills. She told me who my stylist would be and assured me all would go great.
The Salon: It has beautiful décor. A little smaller than I expected but not overcrowded. My appointment was at 9am and I got there around 850am. I was greeted by the receptionist who asked if I wanted to read a magazine to which I said yes and she gave me a mini iPad that had over 6 – 8 magazine choices to read from. The mini iPad also had Safari so I was able to surf the net too. This was a nice treat! She also offered water or tea.
Hair stylist: Nadia was my hair stylist. She was amazing and gave me exactly what I wanted. I loved the technique she used with the rollers. It gave my hair lots of volume and «bounce» that lasted me a good 2 – 3 days. She also introduced me to some new products for my hair. I highly recommend her.
Price: the blow dry was $ 45 and I was so happy with the final look that I purchased the bundle for 4 blow outs for $ 160 which comes to $ 40 each. I think it’s a great deal and I look forward to my next blow out from Bounce.

I went to the Berkeley Bounce last weekend, and it was a great experience! I don’t remember the woman’s name, but she did an excellent job on my hair. She was also pretty gentle compared to other blow outs I’ve had. They were fun to talk to, and the price was affordable. I’d definitely go back again!

Just opened Today. decided to get my hair don on a whim. Beautiful place, great ladies working here. I love my hair. I could never get my hair this myself. Come see it. I’ll be back
