I love Bryn Walker – the concept, the clothes, and the people. This company puts their heart into bringing beautiful, comfortable style to women of all sizes and shapes. Kay, the manager, is welcoming, sophisticated, and attentive to anyone who visits her store. She understands the clothing well and will help you craft your own unique Bryn Walker look.

Snotty Clerks with«Pretty Woman» syndrome. Snobs! I’ve been buying and wearing Bryn Walker clothes fit years. I’m at the small end of plus size. J. Many of their clothes are cut loose. AND, I have several Plus size pieces. I wound up with time to spare in Berkley. I sent my hubby packing & ran in to buy something. I asked the snotty clerk who never offered to help me nor ever acknowledged me if they still carried Plus Sizes? «Weeeee have nevha carried pa-luss sizes.» Did I capture the arrogance? Not, we don’t carry at this store HOWEVER I think we have some some things that would work. Good news for the snob, I left so she wouldn’t have to ring up a sale! STOREOWNER: I was there 30 minutes ago in case you need to know who to TRAIN!

I like the clothes a lot and have worn Bryn Walker for many years. It’s a cheaper of version of Eileen Fisher, which I also like. I spoke to a stranger in the street this week about her BW outfit, so I do know BW. BUT the Vine Street store is tiny and overstocked. That makes it hard to broswe. If there is more than one customer in there, plus the 2 assistants, we’re in each other’s way a lot. Add a pushchair and you’re falling over each other. This is a great disadvantage to wanting to spend time and choosing items so I buy less than I could and I don’t go to the store so often. I had heard the 4th st store had closed. Could this be why the Vine Street store is so stuffed?

I love Bryn Walker clothes. They are well made, classic, stylish and reasonably priced for something that will never go out of style. My one complaint is that they do not sell online. I live a bit away from a store and if they don’t have my size or color, I’m out of luck unless they do a special order. I would find it very convenient to order my favorite styles online in new colors. I really think they are doing themselves a disservice by not selling this way. They have a very small retail presence.

I have only visited the seattle store, but loved the style, and thought the gals were very helpful and very personable. I love the comfort and bohemian feel of the clothes, also love that I feel very unique in my pants. I look forward to finding other locations and revisiting my Seattle store. I would be very happy and comfortable and stylish if I could have nothing but Bryn Walker in my closet! If you love linen and unique style you will love this beautiful brand.

I love this store. Love the clothes. The sales women are incredibly helpful and have dressed me on many occasions. I have received sooooo many compliments from even strangers on the street on their clothes.(I have nooooo idea why anyone would say the sales people are snotty — farthest thing from it!) The fabrics are beautiful, wear well, and the lines are flattering for all figures. If you don’t know where to start, get a sales person to help you. They are more than happy to help you create something. I also love that season after season, the pieces go together. I find my fashion dollars go farthest here, because of that. And of course, the sales are great. AND the clothes are made in America! I also love their taste in accessories — you can’t beat them for scarves(at all price points) and I have a few stunning necklaces that I wear over and over. I have also succumbed to some gorgeous bags over the years, which I also treasure. (Way less costly than Eileen Fisher — AND better fabrics and locally made.)

Three of us, excited about the 30% off sale, 2 of us from out of town longing to go to this sale — went shopping there today. This was my 3rd time there and each time I have encountered a snotty salesperson vibe. Kind of like they might have reacted if they thought I was tracking in something on my shoe. The owner(?) seemed very anxious when I used her hand mirror, and kept taking it away from me. I have had that same experience in there before. That gesture felt off putting and the opposite of customer service. My friend also overheard the sales people complaining about us as if we had exhibited bad customer behavior. My friend went in intending to spend money and the vibe prevented her from doing this. As for the line of clothing, it is an interesting mix. The scarves, rings and purses(not their own brand) were chosen by someone with a good eye and fine taste. The Bryn Walker clothing seems like I will want a piece, but usually none of it works. Mostly because it has way too much fabric and the long pointy side pieces are too big and too long and probably too wide as well. The concept is excellent but in my opinion the designer doesn’t pay enough homage to the sweeping lines of a woman’s body.

Here’s the problem. Yes, I like and own some of their clothes. But why are the sales people so snotty? I went into the store yesterday, and asked«is everything on sale?». «Clothes and sweaters», replied the sales woman. Not sure she was talking to me, since it seemed like an incomplete sentence, I asked again. She repeated the same thing in an irritated way. «Are belts also?» I asked, since it can be argued that belts are ALSO clothing. «CLOTHESANDSWEATERS!», she answered. OMG! It’s not like I was asking her for money, I was planning to hand over money. In this economy, and for that matter at any time, I respond better when sales people are polite and helpful. I understand it was near the end of the day, and I have worked plenty of retail jobs, but politeness should be number one in sales job descriptions. This store should do better on customer relations, because this is not the first(at all!) time I have left the store because of sassy salesperson attitude.

I have walked by this store many times but have never gone in. Today Nina and I came down here so she could take me scarf shopping. I haven’t been a scarf wearer but scarves seem to be coming my way. A friend wove me one for my birthday this year and a month ago my brother sent me two beautiful scarves from Thailand. Nina, on the other hand, wears scarves elegantly, so I’ve turned to her as a consultant. She wanted to buy me one for Chanukah and this is her go-to place. We were greeted when we walked in and Nina introduced me to the woman who is usually her consultant. We wandered around the store and first one scarf appealed to me and then another. They have many, many in varying styles and color palettes. There are also the clothes to go w/them, jackets, blouses, pants. It’s an elegant store. I tried on the two scarves that had caught my eye and ended up choosing the first one. As we were checking out I was attracted to an unusual necklace, three large irregular, colored pearl«peas» in an abstracted sterling silver pod on a ball chain by Paula Carvalho. It was reasonably priced at $ 128 and I decided to buy it. I didn’t even try it on and when I got home I discovered it was a bit short. I contacted Paula by email and she was *wonderful*! I mailed her the necklace, she put on an extension and sent it back. The whole process took less than a week. Bryn Walker is a beautiful store, elegant in the same way Nina is. If I want another new scarf I certainly know where to go. As we were leaving I noticed they had a red ceramic Chinese dragon serving as a doorstop. Now how cool is that?

They carry some great handbags, accessories and scarves. And the staff is absolutely great. The clothes look nice but I’ve never bought any here … yet!

One of the best selections of Linen clothing around. Unconstructed, casual and comfortable… my requirements for clothing that can take you from casual to a little dressy for those days that you’re ripping and running from one thing to another… being the little social butterfly that you are! Prices are between moderate and pricey, but worth every penny, as the garments are well made and classic and will be in your wardrobe for a long time. Jackets around $ 80, pants from $ 60 – 88, tops from $ 44. Wide range of colors, and the staff are always helpful and friendly. If you dress like Mariah, this is NOT the place for you.
