I can honestly say that my recent massage with Robert was the best I have ever experienced, and I’ve probably had thousands of massages!
From the moment I arrived, I felt that Robert created a nurturing and caring space, from the music, to the zen-​like clinic room, to the way he checked in with what was going on in my body, and asking what I liked in a massage. Once I was on the table, I felt safe to relax and was guided by Robert to come into my body via a simple breathing process. Over the next hour and a half, using his flowing Esalen style he both gently and firmly worked on all the different areas of my body, with specific attention to those areas where I had pain and or injury. He checked in with me a number of times to ensure what I was receiving was to my liking and that I was comfortable. He also used specific stretching techniques which were combined with the breath to help alleviate the tension I was holding.
At the end of the massage I had drifted into a very peaceful place, and felt totally relaxed and at peace. Robert was generous with his time and said I could rest as long as I needed at the end of the massage to integrate all that had taken place. I have felt the positive effects of this massage for days, and I am very grateful for this experience, and would highly recommend Robert’s massage to others.

I hate writing reviews for my favorite businesses because I’m afraid they’ll become too popular and I won’t be able to (in this case) get an appointment, but Robert’s work is too good and he deserves the recognition! Yes, I’m selfish.
Anyways, Robert is the best massage therapist I have ever found. I’ve had several massage therapists in my quest to alleviate pain and tension related (usually) to the effects of scoliosis, hip dysplasia, and flat feet; and Robert’s work has surpassed them all. Much as my pride and belief in science hate to admit it, Robert’s massage work is also great for my emotional and psychological health as well! ;) Don’t ask me to explain why that works (please refer to my «science» disclaimer).

My body has a new level of balance today thanks to Robert. He’s a rare massage therapist who is better described as a healer. Following a brief instruction on breathing, I was connected immediately to this peaceful place. When Robert cradled my calves I am reminded how wonderful they are, what a gift. Wobbly as a newborn fawn, I emerged from my highly enjoyable treatment ethereal and grateful. You’d be lucky to find such a healing partner!
