Beware: My car got towed in under 5 minutes! just cause I parked in the complex they are located in. I didn’t know I had to use street parking.

I used to like this place, I really did. But three months after I moved fifty miles away and stopped going there, I started getting repeated auto-​dialer calls from them saying my refills were ready. Apparently they never got the memo that I didn’t actually want to refill my prescriptions at their pharmacy.
Worse, they wouldn’t let me transfer a prescription when I moved, because they had given me a partial fill and somehow it would mess up their records. Apparently they expected me to travel 100 miles without a car because they’re not capable of accounting for such a simple thing in their records.
I just got the fifth call from this place in a row. They’re terrible.

Support Drate Pharmacy for all your rx and non-​rx needs — basically the products they carry are ***less expensive*** than walgreens, and when you shop with them, you support a local business. the pharmacist is a wonderful, kind man — do yourself and your community a favor by choosing Drate instead of the monolith, overpriced walgreens.
ALSO, walgreens no longer accepts Anthem (wtf?), and Drate does. patronize this place!

This place is top notch! They’ve only been open a short time, but I’m so impressed, I’ll be using them for my scripts and non-​prescription needs and never looking back!
I popped in the other day to check them out and say hello. They’re very interested in carrying products people want to sell, and it’s an independent pharmacy run by two people. My partner filled a script and was so incredibly impressed we’re still talking about it. They were extremely friendly, concerned about the medical conditions for which the drugs were prescribed, offered a discount on medication not covered by insurance, and aren’t afraid of the chronically ill.
After all the mediocre and some downright damaging pharmacy experiences around east bay in the past, Drate Pharmacy is a dream come true. Support local ethical businesses!
Logistics: There’s metered parking on both sides of the street nearby, but there’s also a lot behind the pharmacy I haven’t checked out yet. It always looks empty, but I never have trouble finding street parking in this area. I’ve also found the highest potency vegan gluten-​free B12 supplements I’ve ever seen here. Yay!
