EZmove

This company is the right moving company for certain kinds of moves. I needed movers that were willing to load Door-​to-​Door containers. I talked with other moving companies that would do it but would charge for movers plus a truck, even though I didn’t need the truck. EZMove is used to loading these containers and was willing to send men with a truck or without a truck. Obviously it’s cheaper without a truck. I wouldn’t use these guys if you’ve got precious stuff to move but if you just want to move your normal bed, desk, etc. they did a good job. They started work as soon as they arrived and kept going. The guy leading the group (Sean) really knew what he was doing and I felt like I could trust him to make sure the other guys were doing things right.
The not so good part is that the follow through isn’t great. For example, they removed a sliding door in order to move something out, but they didn’t replace the door and I only noticed it when I went to lock up. Also, I had a TV on a table and they dumped the TV on the bed when they moved the table. They disconnected the cable when they took the TV off the table and I ended up calling Comcast to see why the cable wasn’t working before I noticed that they hadn’t re-​connected it. And there were some minor annoying things like one of them left an empty water bottle in my planter and they left a cardboard box from their truck on my driveway. I didn’t appreciate having to pick up after them.
All in all, I thought they did a good job for what I needed and they were very pleasant to work with.
It’s now a few days after I wrote this review — I originally gave them 4 stars but had been undecided between 3 and 4. Last night I noticed something about one of my tables. It has a vinyl top and on one corner of the top, the vinyl is torn. Since the table is almost new, it seemed strange. And then I realized what must have happened — As the movers were moving some cabinets out, they must have lifted one and the bottom of the cabinet hit the top of the table and tore the vinyl. I don’t know if they were aware of the damage or not but I wish they had moved the table if it was in their way. So that discovery was enough to reduce the review to 3 stars.
