BRIAN’S SKILL AND COOL STYLE MAKE HIM AN AWESOME TEACHER FOR INTERMEDIATE TEENS. I had trouble finding a guitar teacher that my teenage son could accept. It sounds ridiculous, but the teacher had to be cool enough for him in terms of what he would teach. We’d been through quite a few teachers because he only wanted to learn what he wanted to learn. Brian recognized that and ran with it. The lessons are fun, varied and exactly what our son wants. But what really makes Brian great is he also provides what our son needs. Brian slips music theory into the lessons, showing how it all comes together on the guitar. Now our son is intellectually fascinated as well as emotionally and artistically drawn to the guitar.
2 last comments about Brian: he’s taught our son styles ranging from Blues, to Latin/​Spanish guitar, to Country. He can teach it all. And finally, Brian actually prepares for the lessons! I’ve never seen that before in a guitar teacher. And here’s the best added bonus: our teen is ALWAYS in a good mood after the lesson.

Brian is a top notch instructor and a kick ass guitar player to boot. Brian’s easy going way has welcomed splitting my hour lessons in half with theory and whatever current song I want to learn. Within the first two lessons I learned the A minor and A pentatonic scales as well as some STP and Kid Rock. Brian knows guitar theory very well and can play just about anything by ear. From B.B. King to Metallica or Slipknot to Led Zep, Brian can play and teach it all. I highly recommend Brian as a great blues, rock or metal guitar instructor. Cheers!

I just started taking lessons with Brian and had never touched a guitar before calling him. Brian is really laid back and encouraging. He tries to pull lessons from songs I like so I can start learning my favorite songs vs spending 6 months playing scales and Mary had a Little Lamb. He is also was willing to come to my apartment which made it easy for me since I work an office job during the week and his rates are reasonable for the time and service he provides.

Brian has been our son’s (10 years old) guitar teacher for almost a year now and he is GREAT! Brian is patient and goes with the desires of the student instead of adhering to a rigid teaching method. I would highly recommend Brian for any young person seeking to learn guitar in a supportive and fun environment.
