Joe helped me get through a rough period after I fell running and did something nasty to L4/L5. I could barely walk into his office when I started. After about a month, things were much better and after another month or so, I was getting pretty normal. There is no way I would have been able to proceed with my summer vacation in 2010 if I hadn’t been going to see Joe. The vacation involved hauling 100+ pounds of kayak and gear in and out of the water, alone on remote islands with rocky shores often covered with slippery kelp. Definitely not something to do if your back rehab wasn’t spot on.

Joe helped me a lot with stress management and immune support. I don’t know if I would have made it through my wedding without his wedding week treatments. Not to make him sound like spa treatment sort of doc; no sir, I seriously had some issues. He has helped several times when I’ve had the flu, etc. His special topical brews for acute and chronic illness(Dit Da, I guess?) is not to be beat. Homemade and effective. They sit in my bathroom cabinet right up front so I can reach for them when my elbow acts up or my husband gets a sports injury.

Joe is alive with an inner fire that really comes through in his acupuncture. Whether I come into his office tired, wired, or sick with a cold, an hour on the table resets me to zero, and I leave with my channels open and chi flowing. His sessions also include twai-na — an ancient Chinese science of pressure point massage — which gets the tension out of my body better than any other kind of massage I’ve had. Seeing Joe is worth it just for that! But he’s also great with the needles, and a friendly and funny guy to boot. So forget yoga — let Joe do all the hard work of opening your channels for you! He gets my highest recommendation. (And I’m kidding; do yoga too.)
