Hate to give them a 2 star review. I really like the guy who’s always working there, but It’s hard to find what u need consistently. So much empty space my friend calls it communist china but I’ve been to communist china there way more stocked then this place. Sorry Lee’s Market but STOCKYOURSTORE ! Donuts are 2 for 1 after nine though :)

Lee’s has some serious inventory problem. most of the store is literally empty. not many brands to choose from. same goes for cereals, sodas, beers, wines, behind the counter, i don’t know buys: V – 8 juice(1.25) –naturally good, has 9 gms sugar drips: –friendly checkout.

These guys are friendly and I give them props for having a clean, decently stocked corner market and preventing riffraff hanging out in front. Great deals on beer and its nice to have a place to grab some ice just down the street if i need a little more to cool off my wort on brewing days. As a bonus they started carrying Three Twins Ice Cream! They may have already, but I wish they would stop putting items that the school kids/thugs buy in plastic bags because they just toss the bag in the middle of the street the minute they walk out the door.

This place keeps me in smokes and coffee. Elissa D needs to update that review ’cause the twelvers of ESB and IPA are up to $ 9.99 now plus tax and CRV. You can get a twelver of Bud, cans, for $ 8.08 out the door though. That’s hard to beat anywhere. Most of the prices include tax so you’re not searching for $ 2.17 to pay for something that is priced $ 1.99. That’s nice. You’ll find Omar there, the Pops, he owns the joint. Mohammed and Monsur are his sons and they work the counter and do the heavy lifting. Sean pulls the extra shifts. A cousin if memory serves. It’s across the street from the Berkeley Mental Health Services Building, so if you frequent it enough, you’re certain to get a display of some kind of crazy at some point. That’s a total bonus. I like going in when our differently programmed members of society are buying scratchers. Maybe they’ll make health insurance a prize one day. «Congratulations you’ve won generic brand prescription drug coverage for $ 5 for a 60 day supply!!» The Tuesday Farmers Market is opposite Lee’s on the other side of MLK. Lee’s has an ATM inside and will give you cash with a debit purchase for a buck or two. If you don’t see what you need ask, they have all manner of household what not around, up high, down low, in back.. .

Yes! First one! That must mean I’m the only Unilocaler in my neighborhood. Ha! Awesome! These are my boys. My neighborhood corner store. The boys behind the counter are always ready to supply me with the following: *Plenty of quarters for my laundry. They even offer up the $ 10 roll! Because they are awesome and considerate *12 packs of ESB&IPA for $ 6.00, now that a DEAL! *They special ordered my favorite brand of smartfood chedder cheese popcorn because I mentioned I didn’t like the other kind they were trying out for a couple weeks. This combined with my IPA is especially important during Grey’s Anatomy night. Stop judging me. *On my way up to the lake with some friends we stopped off for said ESB&IPA and realized we didn’t have a bottle opener. The boys behind the counter loaned me theirs and said I could bring it back whenever. That’s just nice. *They stock a wide variety of goods… including pickled pigs feet… uhhhh…I’m not going to deduct a star for that even though it freaks me out, because this is my corner store and I love it. In short, it’s everything your local corner store should be. Friendly people who look out for the locals and are always willing to help you out when the can. I love Lee’s!
