As a dentist, Dr. Liu is courteous and professional.
However, the practice as a whole is run poorly. The office phone number does not have an answering machine attached. The recording lists office hours, but there were three calls I made during office hours that were not picked up. My wife is on my insurance plan with the same group number, yet somehow she was billed for a cleaning when my claim went through fine. Her cleaning was done in May 2015, and we received the bill in February 2016. We attempted to contact them by phone, but could not get a callback because they don’t have an answering machine. When we did reach someone, they asked us to come into the office the following day. The doors were locked and the lights turned off when we arrived the next day, even though the sign on the door and the phone recording both said they should’ve been open.
Everyone has a bad day once in a while, but communication has been difficult over several months with several different members of the staff. We may be extra unlucky, but with so many other dentist options within walking distance, we decided to stop visiting Dr. Liu.

Dr. Liu is very professional and fast at what he does. I have had several cleanings and fillings completed with him and I have been very satisfied with his work.

Although Dr. Liu himself is a cheerful guy and in my opinion, a great dentist, I am all-​together unhappy with my experience at this dentist office. I had an appointment scheduled for 11:30, and as I waited for over an hour I watched other patients come and go over and over again… Eventually I asked the receptionist if she forgot me and… I WAS FORGOTTEN. How does that happen? Anyway, she was polite about it but it was extremely frustrating and a waste of a time. She attempted to «squeeze» me in for a 15 min appointment the next day but I saw another dentist instead… I RECOMMEND THE DR. FORDS (2 BROTHERS) IN EL CERRITO!
