All Things Must Pass!!! The weathered, yellow, tired old MLK student Union has been rehabbed and finally finished.
Now, sporting loads of windows on all sides, lots of chairs and tables, outlets (of course), and mixed use, flanked by a new Student Store, an Amazon Locker room, & topped with Marin’s Equator coffee, pizza,& a burger place.
What a difference a few decades makes!
Especially nice is the NW corner in which gorgeous logs are used for benches and art.
The Bears Lair is no longer in this building, and finally, FINALLY!!! One can walk straight through the square to Zellerbach!

Really clean and has an Amazon store! You can pick up packages and drop off returns. They even have packaging supplies and printing kiosks for returns.

Cal’s new student union is a pretty nice building, even though it’s not finished in most areas.
Walking in via the main entrance, there’s the bookstore on the left (rows upon rows of of Cal gear); a coffee shop on the right (Equator Coffee & Teas); and the «campus living room» in front (a bunch of couches and tables). On the lower level, the bookstore continues, and there’s a food-​court-​looking area with a store that appears to sell bread (it was closed when I went), and some tables /​chairs.
