Mona’s Salon

After having seen Mona today I can see why people have such great reviews for her! I think I was her first customer of the day, so she was a few minutes meeting me, however it wasn’t a bad wait. She does operate out of her apartment, however she also has a place in Walnut Creek that she does business out of. Her setup was clean and professional. She was very accommodating and polite from the moment I met her.
Most importantly I am very happy with what she did to my brows. Most of the time people tend to overdo them, however Mona listened to my requests and did exactly what I was looking for. I’m very happy with what I got and will be seeing her on a regular basis!

I really enjoyed my full face threading with Mona! She is very thorough and artistic and has extremely fair prices. Her apartment is clean and she had lots of tips about how to maintain a clear complexion after threading and to avoid hair growing back so fast. I thought she did my eyebrows the best I’ve ever had them done. I will definitely be going back and you should go too!

So I went in for the first time today to get my eyebrows threaded with Mona. At first I was a little skeptical since she does it out of her home but I decided to give her a try since she had such good reviews on Unilocal.I called her in the morning and left a message she then called back and we set up an appointment for later on in the day. I text her when I was outside and she led me into her apartment. It’s a small place but it’s very clean. I told her exactly what I wanted and she showed me as she went along to make sure I liked the results. In the end it was virtually painless and I was really happy with the final results. I definitely would go back to her again because she really does a good job.

I’m so glad that I found Mona on Unilocal!I got a full face threading with her today, and she is excellent, excellent at what she does! As mentioned by the other Unilocalers, Mona is very sweet, considerate and thorough.
She does threading in her apartment, and she keeps the place really neat and clean. You would need to call her when you get to her apartment building, and she will come down and open the door for you. She mentioned that she’s in the process of looking for another place to open her own salon. Hope she finds a great place soon!

Such a sweetheart! First time going to her today and she was great — easy to talk to and professional. While she doesn’t thread as rapidly as others I’ve had in the past, she still does a fantastic job cleaning up my mess of eyebrows and is much more gentle to your preference. And she gave great advice for growing mine out. Definitely will come back again!

Mona is not only a sweet person, but also an expert at threading! You can call or text her to set up an appointment beforehand, and she is pretty fast at responding which is amazing. She is very efficient and considerate during the whole threading process. Afterwards she gives you aloe gel to minimize the stinging. I’m very happy with how she cleaned up and kept the shape of my brows and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a quick, inexpensive eyebrow job!

First time getting my eyebrows done, and I had a sweet experience. Mona from the begining made me feel comfortable especially when threading my eyebrows, and would talk me through what she was doing by showing me my eyebrows each step of the way making sure I was content. I am super HAPPY with my eyebrows definetly coming back.

SHE IS ABSOULTELY AMAZING! She is honestly one of the best threaders I have been to. At first I was kind of freaked out she does it from her apartment and I was totally lost on how her prices worked. However, I am so thankful I took a leap of faith and went. She definitely is a gem and takes her time to ensure you now exactly what she is doing. She is extremely realistic in prices! It is crazy how inexpensive the prices are! I absolutely love her! This is my first Unilocal review and I am happy I can recommend someone as terrific as Mona!

Mona is the sweetest ever! I went for eyebrow threading and called beforehand to book a time for an appointment. The salon is just her apartment but she was very hygienic, washed her hands, sanitized the chair, etc. She always stopped to ask whether I liked what she threaded so far and constantly asked to let her know if it hurt. And for $ 5 – 8, I’m gonna be a regular for sure now!

This was my first time getting my eyebrows threaded and I had a great experience with Mona :) She was very friendly, considerate & thorough, stopping every time I made a face/​noise of pain to ask if it was too painful and if she should thread faster/​slower. She also gave me tissues to wipe up my tears (lol I’m weak) and even some aloe vera to rub on the area afterwards.
When she’d finished, she asked if I wanted any adjustments done, but I was REALLY happy with the result and didn’t think it needed any at all — $ 5 – 8 is honestly an amazing deal for what you’re getting. I can’t recommend Mona enough!

Just went to Mona for the first time today for my eyebrows and she was amazing :) She’s very thorough, helpful and is super great about asking if there’s anything to fix/​change after the job’s done. Also, her prices are fantastic! $ 50 for a 3-​month membership is beyond anything I could ever imagine (after spending 4 years at Berkeley dropping $ 15 – 20 each time I went in). It’s also wonderful that she prices on a sliding scale — on top of being really good at threading, she’s very considerate as well. It was easy to make an appointment, easy to find her place, and very easy to get my eyebrows done while having a great conversation! I’d absolutely recommend her to anyone in the area.

I’ve gotten my eyebrows done by Moona twice now. Both times she has done a great job! She always asks you if you’d like her to change anything at the end or if she missed anything. On top of that her prices are great! I got the membership for 40 dollars and it lasts 3 months. I highly recommend getting your threading services here!

So it’s Friday morning. It’s payday and what not & a girl needs her brows done. All the places I found in my area didn’t open until ¹⁰⁄₁₁ which was annoying since I had to be out of town early. I luckily found Mona who opens at 9am.
I was a bit apprehensive at first not seeing a pic (silly I know) but I seen she had received 5 stars. This is what drew my interest. I gave the number a call, left her a message. Within minutes got a call back with an appt 15mins after the call back. (Does the dougie)
Came, found parking (which is rare)
Long story short, come by! Did I mention she charges 5 $? Cash&Card accepted.

I’ve been living in Berkeley for 4 years now and always found it a struggle when looking for a place to get my eyebrows done. I’ve paid around $ 15 each time and never felt fully satisfied. Finally, that struggle is over. Mona really knows what she’s doing. She’s very personable and the prices are perfect for the typical poor college student. Great conversation and eyebrows for only $ 5. Can’t beat that.

Best eyebrows and so cheap ! It worth it :) I will come back. Plus the member ship is really a good deal

Mona is amazing! She is super friendly that it is so easy to just chat with her and not even think about wincing. Not that ir hurt much anyways, because she is so skilled and diligent in her methodology – she did a great, meticulous job and even gave me some great advice to boot. I am definitely going to be a regular customer for her!

Mona made my first threading experience very pleasant! She was friendly and easy to talk to. I have a bit of uneven eyebrows due to couple of failed waxing job from the past but Mona fixed it perfectly to just the shape that i wanted! Most of all, She offers really really affordable threading services for fellow students on a budget! :)
