Mountain Mike’s Pizza

0 stars for the rude delivery guy. 2 stars for the food.
Opened the door and said «hi» and he didn’t even acknowledge me. Just opened his pizza bag and handed me the pizza and left. Seriously? I know it’s kind of late but geez, a «hello» would have been nice. Pizza was okay. I feel like it would have been really good if it wasn’t borderline cold. The sun dried tomatoes were the driest I have ever had. So hard and chewy. Usually they would be in olive oil or something. The jalapeño poppers were also very cold. Such a shame because it tasted good. I was only able to eat one because of they were so cold. I’ll have to stick them in the oven tomorrow. My partner had the chicken wings and garlic bread. She had a couple drinks so she inhaled everything. She said it was yummy but cold. I want to give this place another chance. Hopefully everything will at least be warm if not hot.

I was a bit bored at work today and uninspired as to a Friday lunch spot, so I just decided to try this for delivery based on the Unilocal reviews.
I’ll give it three stars based on comparison to other chains like Domino’s, Roundtable, Little Caeser’s and the like. They have a nice user interface for the on-​line ordering system, and delivery is reasonably prompt, although my pizza was warm but not hot on arrival. Good amount of toppings, crust not to my liking as it is kind of thick and soft, not chewy as when you use high gluten flour. Compared to the better pizza spots around town (see my list of faves) this is really about a 2 star place.
There are too many really good options in the area for me to add this as a regular spot for delivery, but if you are a chain/​delivery pizza kind of person this will be a better bet than others.

Today I held my daughter’s first birthday party here. The manager, Raj, and his team (mom and Brian) were very helpful in helping me. I am clueless when it comes to organizing parties. I had over 50 guests and didn’t know how much pizza to order. The helped me in figuring out what to do. My contact with Raj from the beginning was great, from the time I called to reserve the date to the end when I closed my tab. The place was very clean. We had the whole place practically to ourselves. I am very happy with how it all turned out. I would happily host another party there.

I made a large order for a party I was having at Albatross Pub and Mountain Mike’s customer service was amazing! They went over all the order details with me beforehand to make sure everything was taken care of. The delivery was on time and very friendly. The pizza was piping hot and delicious. Mostly I was blown away by the level of professionalism and will definitely be ordering from here again! Thanks!!!

Not more than 15 minutes after posting this original review, Mountain Mike’s called me. They sent a large pizza in 20 minutes to make up for it, and covered the price difference even though the mis-​order was a UX issue/​user error with the Eat24 app. So they get 2 more stars for amazing customer service and a pretty tasty pizza the second time around.

Everything we got was delivered undercooked and doughey. First off I hate soggy breaded chicken wings, I don’t know why so many places insist on breading buffalo wings, it’s gross. If I’d know they made them that style I would have ordered from extreme pizza instead.
Second the Eat24 app reverted our order to a default setting somehow so we got a mini pizza delivered instead of a large. So that was awesome for the NFC Playoff game, but lets chalk it up to user error and not Mountain Mike’s fault. The thing that sucks is that the mini pizza was undercooked. How do you even do that? It’s so tiny, the top layer of crust shouldn’t be uncooked dough.
So soggy doughey chicken wings, and a undercooked doughey mini pizza. Not a great first experience with the new place in the neighborhood. Will not order from here again.

I ordered from this location just last week and it was great. Arrive hot, and was worth the price over the local Domino for sure. Today it was terrible. It arrived cold and tasted like cardboard. Very disappointing. It was the only time in the 5 – 6 times I ordered Mountain Mikes it was bad (2^nd time this location), so I can’t give it zero stars, but I will give it a 2.
I will give them one more try and if it comes out like this again, that’s it.

Fantastic pizza! We had the Snowy Alps and loved the creamy garlic sauce as an alternative to traditional red sauce. The toppings were plentiful, fresh and delicious. We ordered online through Unilocal /​Eat 24 and were able to get status updates. The pizza arrived hot, at the time stated. We’d definitely order from Mountain Mike’s again.

Super nice staff, tasty pizza and great prices. We got a personal pizza with 3 toppings and garlic cheese stick for under $ 9.

I had really high hopes for this place, but sadly they didn’t deliver. We ordered the bbq wings and a well done Tuscan pizza. The delivery ran about 30 minutes over the quoted time, our pizza was not well done (shit, it was barely even warm) and the wings were practically dry. They smelled vaguely like bbq, but tasted like fried wings.

I didn’t feel like pizza so I ordered buffalo wings, a salad, and some cheese sticks. I used Unilocal to order delivery and it went so smoothly I’d recommend it to everyone. The quoted delivery time was 45 minutes and sure enough, the driver arrived pretty much on time.
The cheese sticks were nothing special. The buffalo wings were juicy, but not covered with too much sauce, which I liked. Sometimes I’d get buffalo wings from other places and they’d be dry, but not from here. The salad had a mix of veggies (baby carrots, romaine lettuce, grape tomatoes, cucumbers, and banana peppers) so I commend them for that. However, some of the lettuce leaves were wilted and brown so I ended up not eating half of it. This is a pizza place though! I didn’t even expect anything more than some iceberg lettuce, tomatoes and croutons so I give them credit for making a worthwhile salad in terms of contents. Next time, I’ll order an actual pizza.

The pizza is perfectly cooked. The owner is extremely kind and friendly. Awesome location to order your pizza!

My favorite Mountain Mike’s location. Very clean. Wonderful staff. Pizzas are better here than at some other Mike’s I’ve been to.

5 star flavor! Ordered the Snowy Alps, no mushrooms, added fresh basil and pineapple. Thin crust. 10″ small.
5 star convenience. Used Unilocal!to identify who delivered in my new neighborhood; ordered through Unilocal!/Eat24; used saved payment info from a previous restaurant order. In about 5 clicks, my order was taken and I could view what time the pizza would arrive.
5 star service. Got my pizza exactly when the app said I would. Paid the tip in advance using the app, so he literally handed me my dinner and that was IT.
5 star food. Hot, fresh, delicious. Prepared exactly as I ordered. Meant to eat a couple slices and have the rest for work tomorrow. Forget about it. Crushed the entire thing.

Once again, thanks to Unilocalers I discovered a phenomenal surprise! A tasty reasonably priced pizza in the Albany area. We ordered the 20″ mountain size Everest. The woman over the phone graciously applied a $ 5 discount to the order. The huge meat pizza came in just under $ 37. My husband came back happy. He said that the family running the restarant was pleasant and the parking was very easy. The pizza place is across the street from Acme bread on Cedar and San Pablo.
The thin crust made it easy to eat without being too overwhelming. Given the generous meat toppings, the 3 (adults) of us agreed that a large would have suited us just fine. Anyway, the true test of good pizza is the reheat test. I reheated the leftovers today for lunch and it was still great. Soooo happy to have found them!

Great pizza! The quality of ingredients was great and the pizza had tons of toppings, including real, fresh veggies with great flavor. Plus it was delivered within 20 minutes on a Saturday night by a super nice and warm man.
There are a number of boring thin crust pizza places in berkeley, plus the typical Little Ceasars, etc. chains, and this is easily the best for crowd-​pleasing pizza and delivery.

As an east coaster I have struggled for a long time here out west to find good pizza. By no means is mountain mikes as tasty as good old fashion east coast pizza BUT so far the best pizza place I’ve come across in the east bay. This location In Particular has good customer service and the pizza is consistently tasty and crisp. Nothing is worse than mushy pizza. I happily would recommend this place. Only critique would be the salads can sometimes not be so fresh. Not
Terrible but not great. Still overall a good place however. And they deliver, big bonus!

I had been looking for a new go-​to, regular-​type, pizza place for a few years. The pizza places around where I live (that aren’t the higher-​end places) either have poor-​quality product, unpredictable product, or the staff is flat out rude (or all of the above).
Every time I’ve come to this place, I’ve been treated kindly. Raj, the manager, is AWESOME, and when I last complimented him on how great of an experience I’ve had coming there, he was honest in his gratitude, but he also said that it was due to his staff, which I thought was the TOP END of classy.
Yes, there’s been the odd mistake here and there, but Raj and his team really work hard to make everything all right, through good communication, and just plain friendly customer service.
As long as this family is in charge, I think I’ve found my new go-​to pizza place.

This place is new and good. Great customer service and the manger Raj is excellent. My kids love this location and whenever I want to catch a game, football or basketball, this is the place to be. I recommend this place because of the quality pizza and food they have.

Ordered delivery using the eat24 app. Said it would be ready by 9:30pm didn’t get here until 10:04pm. And as soon as I got it half the toppings came off and the pizza wasn’t hot at all. As if the delivery had been taking his time when the pizza was ready a long time ago.
UPDATE: The manager Raj personally called and apologized, this was a first and automatically won me over considering most (almost all) pizza places never do this and don’t really make the time to care. For Customer Service alone I can get by with this just fine. Pizza turned out great. Best of luck Raj, you have my support.

This location has a buffet Monday-​Friday from 11 – 2 and Wednesday night as well from 5 – 8. I love their buffets. The variety of pizza and quality is better than Round Table Pizza’s buffet @ least. I have never had an issue with their staff and I have no reason to consider other pizza alternatives.
