Qualcomm is THE place to eat on campus. The wraps are delicious, huge, and cheap. Also they have so many sauces! I usually get a spinach wrap with swiss cheese, sundried tomato and/or chipotle sauce and allll the veggies. You can sub hummus in for cheese if you want to go vegan.

Best café on UC Berkeley café. Peet’s coffee, great wraps and a lot of seating. What more could I ask from a college campus café. They accept meal points so if you’re a freshman and you have classes in soda or Evans this is a perfect place to take a break. Crowded during rush hour but if you get space on the couch don’t leave it. I’ve spent countless hours here. My favorite place on campus for the past 4 years. My friends and I are their most loyal customers

I love this place! I came here all the time when I still had mealpoints from school, because it was probably the best place to go with mealpoints. It was also a good way to use up a lot of mealpoints at the end of the semester. Anyway, in the beginning I got half pastrami half salami, some cheese that I forgot but wasn’t too heavy, a little bit of sun-dried tomato and/or garlic aioli, and all the vegetables. After eating it at least 2 – 3 times a week, I decided to go with just all the vegetables(except olives because they were super salty!) and cheese. So good, refreshing, quick, and healthy. I always asked for extra bell pepper and onions. Great meal. My favorite on-campus food. The line could get a little long and slow during rush hours, but it was okay at other times. Plus a nice frappé from Peets finishes the meal nicely!

The wraps are a waste of meal points compared to dining common meals, but probably better quality food. Drinks are nice if you have meal points, but I personally head over to Brewed Awakening for coffee. There is free water which I always visit for. There is a good amount of space to work but it sometimes gets full in the middle of the day. The tables outside are usually free. There’s a nice atmosphere and I chat up a friend or two every week here. There are a few outlets as well. The staff are nice enough.

don’t let them fool u when they say spinach raps bc: 1) it’s not actual spinach it is just green 2) they do not actually rap to u about spinach cuz I thought it was gonna be about the spinach aka the green aka the almighty dollar where all the seconds minutes hours something something free weezy

I really like the custom wrap line! You can get a meat of your choice along with any cheese, and type of lavash wrap(I typically get the spinach wrap!) and unlimited veggies! You can have a filling lunch(trust me the wraps are HUGE!) and not feel like you’re in a food coma at the same time! Peets is also built in the café so if you just want a cup of coffee and/or a pastry, that option’s there for you too! You get access to internet and it’s overall a nice place to study and/or socialize! I like the overall atmosphere. Pro tip: Just don’t come at the top of the hour(especially between 11 – 1) because you’ll be stuck in a really long line. I typically get my wrap towards the end of the hour. –1 for increasing the price of wraps since my freshman year.(3 years ago)

I’ll give one extra star for the food section, which is decent. I’ve gotten a wrap here that was pretty tasty. The coffee, Peet’s specifically, is AWDFUL. I ordered an espresso and received three ounces of burnt espresso mixed with burnt milk. On top was dishwater soap looking foam that looked as if it had been scooped right on. I’m sorry, my expectations aren’t too high, but this is the worst cappuccino I’ve ever had.

I have had many fond memories with Qualcomm. As a freshman, their wraps really were the bomb, and they were the one place where I could use my meal points and not feel like I was getting garbage(besides Late Night). Unfortunately, all good things come to an end. But before I get to that, I’ll comment on Qualcomm as a whole. What is Qualcomm? A tech company? Yeah, but it’s also the name of a café at UC Berkeley. With modern designs, plenty of seatings(though limited outlets), and engineers everywhere, it’s the place that’s poppin’ up in Northside that really isn’t all that poppin’. I remember the days where I would look forward to having class in Evans or Soda just to get the chance to grab a quick wrap at Qualcomm. Its popularity was unparalleled. Even now, you will still see crazy lines on the hour, and that’s only a testament to its popularity. Now, it’s not even worth it. With The Den and even GBC offering wraps and Qualcomm cutting down on the aiolis, Qualcomm no longer has the differentiating factor it once had. Couple that with the fact that the lines are long and the location is inconvenient and what you get is just an experience that is not at all worth it. For the past two times I have come here, I have gotten very unsatisfactory coffee, very likely not up to the standards of a normal Peet’s. There really needs to be regulation, since it does no justice to the brand name. Qualcomm was once the crowning jewel of Cal Dining, but nowadays, just head to Hearst and Euclid: you’ll find way better food in the area. TIP: Go to GBC.

Don’t come during rush hours if possible! During lunch time the lines are so long that there’s one large line for paying and one picking the topping for your wrap. Luckily there’s a separate Line for beverages Other than that the wraps are my favorite. I sometimes crave the wraps here at Qualcomm. Seating is plenty, but good luck finding one with an outlet.

Service: friendly staff. Avoid all campus dining during prime time. Meal point users galore. Food: the wraps are okay. The sundried tomato is the only reason in get the wrap. I usually go for spinach wrap with grilled chicken and most vegetables. Hold the olives and peppercini. I usually don’t mind it but for some reason it is very overpowering. Not good for dinner by itself. Atmosphere: comfy lounge area with dim lighting. Lots of hard plastic seating for studying and eating.

Those chicken wraps singlehandedly got me through the engineering program at Berkeley. Spinach wrap + chicken + avocado + any vegetables + sundried tomato aioli + a little bit of balsamic vinaigrette + parmesan = winner.

I basically lived here my freshman year, and I don’t regret it. This place is the only thing that makes me regret not having a mealplan. Their wraps are large and filling, and they have as many sauces and cheese as they do EECS majors. So much better than Subway, and makes me so much happier :’). Peet’s is at the same counter, so you can order a lovely Mexican hot chocolate as well! There’s WiFi and plenty of seating as well as couches and a TV at the back! The lines get really long around prime lunch hours(11 – 1), but there’s never much of a line at dinner. Definitely still frequenting this place even though I don’t have mealpoints anymore.

Found this place a few months into my first semester at Cal. As much as I went here, I’ve never gotten sick of this place. The wraps here will always, ALWAYS be holy in my belly. Another perk is that you can order Peet’s at the same time! To this day, Atmosphere: Study café. Slow and calm in the morning, but it gets crackin’ as the day goes on. Very popular place for lunch on campus. Service: Great service! Some servers are friendlier than others, but we all have happy days and grumpy days so whatevsss. Some know how to wrap wraps better than others, but hey, we all have to start somewhere. Food: I love love love love love the veggie wrap here! I usually substitute the cheese for hummus and ask for the balsamic vinaigrette. There’s a great selection of meat, sauces, cheese, and veggies. Everything is super fresh! :) Average price: $ 5 – 6 for wraps/salads, $ 3 – 5 for drinks Tips: — Avoid the lunch rush from 11−2p.(Lines are long and it’s hard to find somewhere to sit.) — BEST place to use your meal points. — Wraps wraps wraps wraps Conclusion: EVENWITHOUTMEALPOINTS, I will spend my money here because it’s quick, nutritious, and delicious. ;)

This is a cool café to eat or study while you’re in-between classes. It’s located on the North side of campus though, so a bit out of the way for most people. Pros: –comfy couches –delicious wraps –pretty good salads –outdoor seating for nice days –tv Cons: –small portions(wraps, salads, etc.) –can get crowded –the people who take your order are usually impatient and/or rude –over-priced –if you’re paying with credit/debit card, you have to wait in another line after waiting in the initial line to order and get your food

After finding out that Qualcomm takes meal points, I was here every day during my first year at Cal. The wraps are so delicious and HUGE! And I think you can make them healthy too… There’s also a Peet’s inside that accepts meal points so that’s pretty awesome! I typically came here to have lunch or dinner and study. After a big wrap, you definitely need some coffee to stay awake. I love Qualcomm, I still go here. Even without meal points.

My new favorite morning hangout! I’m a sucker for white chocolate mochas; they’re just so damn good no matter where you go! Anyways, Qualcomm is one of my fast-growing favorite cafes on campus. Its cute architecture, bountiful tables & chairs and comfy, bright orange lounge really help this café straddle that fine line between comfort & acadamia. Though it has a really cheerful atmosphere, it’s also a nice place to study! Or hide out, during those chilly mornings before CS lab. Definitely coming by more often this semester! Extra bonus? Lots of outlets for your laptop!

If i could give this place 1.5 stars, I would. I feel like 1 star is too mean. Their wraps are only worth it if you’re a freshman with dining dollars(meal points). Otherwise, why not go to a legit café and get a more filling wrap? Now, onto the coffee here. The peets inside of Qualcomm is run by students. Often times they take ages to take your order and ages to deliver it to you. But it’s Peet’s coffee and if anything, at least it’s strong!

This café is one of the better places to use your meal points on campus! The inside is nice and clean, and you’ll probably be surrounded by engineers(since the café is on north side) who are studying super hard or ko-ed on the couches near the TV. The wraps are filling, and you can customize them, so if you didn’t really enjoy your wrap here, maybe try another combination. I usually get a wheat tuna wrap with a lot of cheese, some tomato sauce thing, olives, lettuce, cucumbers, peperoncini, and jalapenos. The line for wraps can get extremely long around lunch time(because of students coming in after class), so I would avoid this place around noon. It also takes a while to get your wrap because once you get your wrap, you have to stand in another line(the line for Peet’s) to pay for it –_-. At Peet’s, I really like to order the iced vanilla latte! YUMMMMMMMMMMM!

Not the best place to study. Almost always, the place is packed and you can never find a table to sit at. If you do somehow manage to find a seat, there’s probably not an outlet nearby, an absolute MUST if you’re gonna be here for a while with a laptop. There’s always a shortage of outlets sadly. If you’re here for the food, it’s not bad. Not overpriced like you find at the GBC or the other campus restaurants that accept meal points. The Pete’s here is also convenient and pretty standard. The place is louder than your typical café, but I suppose if you’re here early, you’ll be able to find a seat and be able to study in a quiet(er) environment.

I used to come here all the time because it’s one of the best places to spend mealpoints. I love the wraps(breakfast and lunch!) and the soups are good sometimes too. The best and most underrated part is the wasabi aoli – it’s delicious when paired with the spinach wrap! I don’t usually get coffee at this Peet’s because I stick to my starbucks, but the lunch food from the actual food half is yummy! Too bad there’s always an hour-long line around lunchtime, no free tables, and only one or two cashiers. I know there isn’t much they can do about the long line and always occupied tables, but they could at least make the wrap and cashier process more efficient. Too bad, they could have gotten a four star review.
