Since my October 3, 2013, review of Seamus Berkeley’s classes, I have continued to improve as a painter under Seamus’s instruction. His workshops are particularly helpful as they allow an entire weekend to put into use the techniques taught by Seamus. It is such a pleasure to come away with a painting that I am proud to show to my family and friends. Seamus is always patient, answering my questions and demonstrating so that I come away with the understanding and tools I need to improve as an artist. I find Seamus’s classes and workshops fun and instructive always.

Seamus Berkeley’s oil painting classes are well organized, clear and provide a supportive atmosphere for learning. He gives good attention to each student and the individual work during the class, as well as occasional painting technique demonstrations.
The location is convenient with plenty of parking. The other students have a range
of abilities, and they add to the overall class atmosphere.

Seamus has the gift of artist and instructor and is able to project his experience for the student to understand. He is patient and funny and it is a pleasure to be in his class. After only 4 lessons, I know more about being an artist than I have from all the other classes I have taken in the past. If anyone wants to learn how to draw and paint, Seamus is your man…
