Just did my daughter’s birthday here and it was awesome. We actually had no idea what we were getting into since we’ve never been here before but I’m glad we trusted the reviews on Unilocal. Activities were prepped and started promptly at 2 and staff really make good use of time. Art projects were really cool and Pollyanna was sooo great with all the kids, engaging them in the two art projects that she had lined up. One was a large 2 by 5 feet canvas paint project(see below) and another was a puppet paper mâché. Kids had a good time and adults got a little free time to talk. Pre party communication was efficient and during the party they were really accommodating with outside food, face painting and a pull string piñata. The venue has lots of tables and chairs. The outside area is spacious and a nice mix of sun and shade underneath two large redwoods. Only regret was not asking if we could do 3 hrs because 2 was a little tight. Really glad to spend our time here, it’s a special place and the people running are so nice. We will be back for a Saturday open studio!

Reason for visit: Holiday Craft Sale & Workshops Visit date: December 13, 2014 First time? I’m here a lot. Ok, so I’m just a little biased because I volunteer here, but doesn’t the fact that I spend my free time here speak volumes on how cool I think this place is? Me thinks yes! Sticky Art Lab is a great art studio for all ages and for all levels of creativity. You can come here to create, be inspired, or to learn a new skill or two. I spent the entire day at Sticky during the annual Holiday Craft Sale & Workshop day. The front gallery was filled with handmade goods from local artists and the day was filled with craft demos and workshops. All of Sticky Art Lab’s workshops and drop-in sessions are reasonably priced.($ 25 – 35 for workshops, $ 10 for drop-in studio time). The drop-in fee includes use of all materials and tools in the studio! Plus, you don’t have to worry about it getting messy! There are also big kid craft sessions throughout the month, you can hold birthday parties(or just because parties!) on the weekends, and there are even after school programs where owner Rachel will pick up your kid from the the bus stop and then spend an afternoon with them making and creating! There are two studio spaces, a front gallery, a pretty sweet patio in the back, and artist studio space availabilities. Parking is metered in the front Mon-Sat and free in the neighborhood. Hope to see you at Sticky sometime!

This is an amazing place. My daughter attends an after school program here once a week, and ends her day excited and inspired. The staff members are warm, enthusiastic and supportive. The feel of the place is light and airy and art-y. I’m so glad that we have found it.

Wonderful space and amazing concept. Great for both kids and adults. I have taken my 4 year old daughter for a few drop ins and could not be happier. The owner is wonderful, super helpful and really nice. We always leave with an amazing project or piece of art. There are so many things to choose from, endless possibilities. Would love to try one of the classes, I’m sure they are amazing. This is the best art studio in the Bay Area as far as I’m concerned. Very reasonably priced also!

My six-year-old daughter has attended the camp at Sticky Art Lab for the last two weeks and has loved it! The camp has themes each week, but they also allow the child to explore her own interests and try lots of different media. The camp is small, ensuring the kids don’t get lost in the shuffle like some bigger camps, and it seems like this allows the owners to focus in on each child’s individual interests. For example my daughter wanted to make a «tooth fairy pillow», and she was provided with the materials and instruction to do so on her own. She is so proud of her accomplishments and her confidence has grown by learning so many new things. She has come home happy each day with excitement for returning to Sticky Art Lab the next morning. What more can you ask? Great local business. We will definitely be visiting for drop-in hours after summer.

Both my kids love Sticky Art Lab and have attended school year day-long camps and summer camp. They’ll be back for more this summer and can’t wait. It’s a chance to create art with all sorts of materials, work with other kids on big projects(last year, for instance, one week they created the mural that is now on the outside of the building, another week they made a giant mobile) and explore their imaginations. Sticky Art lets the kids take risks with materials, learn new ways to put things together, work on collaborative projects and focus on sustainability/reuse. Love it!

Just finished a four week family art class here with my husband and two kids, ages 4 and 5. Each week we did a bunch of cool projects including wine cork superheros who can fly down a zipline, felt stuffies that my kids designed themselves and a really cool wire sculpture of our family. Rachel is great — she is patient and thoughtful and can create a project for anyone. I highly recommend this place for drop in, but check out the family class too. It was a really wonderful experience for our family and we will probably do another one soon.

I took my two boys ages 3 and 6 here today after using the Living Social coupon. The owner was so friendly and welcoming, and made sure that everyone had the materials that they needed. They have a wide variety of materials to use and they also have an outdoor space where my kids drew on an easel whilel the other one entertained himself with lots of tape. I like that a lot of the materials the kids use had a previous life – such as bottle caps, corks, cardboard boxes, etc. There is really something for everyone here and they have smaller stations set-up for different activities. On the day we arrived, they had a station for some older kids who were beading; some younger kids were building tunnels out of cardboard; some other kids were outside making something interesting with a hammer. I also got a parking space right in front of the store today. We will definitely be back.

Took two girls, ages 6&7, yesterday and had a fantastic time creating for several hours. The girls were already asking to return before we even left. Rachel is the perfect facilitator for this space. She offers gentle guidance and encouragement, as well as lots of space to just go crazy and create.

Fabulous find! Both my 9 year old and my 2 and half year old are content here… paint, clay, build, beads, seew, kint, fold, cut, glue, you name it, they have it and you can make what ever your heart desires(just don’t use ALL the scotch tape…). Really great place, a must see for anyone with kids who like art, mess, design and creativity!
