I just want to second everything that’s been said before. Alex has an amazing variety of succulents and cacti, and knows the habitat and growing needs and idiosyncrasies of each one. I wanted to buy a succulent for my mom in New York, and Alex was very patient in explaining what plants would or would not do well in her chilly sunroom. She also helped select a small succulent to put inside a small piece of pottery I had bought. She spent an incredible amount of time educating me to make sure I walked out with plants that would work in each setting. I just had an artist friend compliment my potted succulent, and after hearing my story she drove right over to Alex’s to get some plants for herself. And the prices are amazing, by the way!!!

Best selection of quality succulents in the East Bay, and even better customer service.
I’m an experienced gardener but had never grown succulents before, and was looking for some guidance. I told Alex, the owner, about the space I would be growing them in and asked for recommendations. She gave me some tips based on available late in my home, and then I came up with a selection that I liked. Then she weeded out the ones that were not optimal for growing indoors, and voilà I had my perfect selection!
This is a great example of how a small independent business can really shine compared to big-​box stores.

Amazing local business! One step into Alex Rigg’s side yard will take your breath away. While located at a residence, don’t think this place is lacking variety. From tiny window plants to larger outdoor plants, you can find it all here. And everything you see is grown on site and it shows. The plants are nothing short of incredible, and the prices are very affordable. Alex is a plant lover eager to share her knowledge with you. I highly recommend to everyone from plant novices to experts!

This place has the most beautiful, unique, and quality succulents and cacti. Whereas most nurseries sell plants from other growers, the plants sold here are propagated and grown on site. Therefore, everything is healthy and in great condition. The owner is extremely knowledgable and I’ve learned so much about succulents and plant care by talking with her. The prices are very reasonable and I won’t shop anywhere else.

It’s not a big store, but they have many plants which you do not see anywhere else. Also, the owner is very thorough and knowledgable. But, she is the only one there, so you have to be patient.
I am glad I found this place. It’s a lot of fun! I have a great time in here.

The proprietor has an amazing variety of succulents and was very helpful. She is very knowledgeable about soils and varieties of plants. And there were so many beautiful plants, it was hard to choose! If you like succulents, this place is a must see!
