Tessera Tile & Stone

This company is really good!
Owner Bruce Freedman of Tessera Tile & Stone installed the tile in our upstairs bathroom and a separate shower area off the master bedroom. It was a relatively small job, but had its challenges. The spaces were tight to work in, and we had chosen a mixture of glazed and matte tiles, not realizing how challenging it would be to achieve the floating, «random» effect we had in mind. Thanks to Freedman and his crew, Bero and Hassan, the results are magical.
Bruce advised us on the proportions of glazed to unglazed surface, and Bero created a rough template, which he creatively adjusted as work progressed. The desired effect required an artist’s eye and some careful and creative finessing. The crew’s prep work was beautifully done. The mortar bed, for instance, was a work of art – and no one will see it! Everything was done on schedule, as well.
What a pleasure it was watching skilled craftsmen give shape to an idea and to work with a company that provided such fine service and support. Tessera Tile & Stone is priced somewhat on the higher end, but so worth it. We’ll enjoy these spaces for years to come.
