This is one of my favorite galleries in the entire world. The art at Ames is always unique, inspiring and down-​to-​earth. I can spend hours walking through the Ames from the kitchen to the living room to the upstairs. I am a fan of Deborah Barrett can can find her work at Ames. Lot of antiques, folk art, outsider art, tramp art, too. The staff is friendly and never snobby. Street parking. Sort of tucked away almost in the hills. A Berkeley treasure that is a must for all Berkeley visitors interested in art.
