This wasn’t very good coffee at all, and makes the price more expensive. The place is just a to-go shop, and a decent amount of seating. The place is very bustling

First and last time trying their coffee. I ordered an iced americano, and I watched the guy mix my drink and fill the cup with tap water. you’re really going to charge for tap water?

My concoction is created from a strange Tully’s cardboard-box-container-thing. I order my favorite, a chai tea latte, and the barista sneaks to the back of the shop to pour a half cup or so of sugary heavenly goodness into a half cup of coffee. The operation takes 30 seconds, tops. My order is pushed across the counter, and I grab a cardboard sleeve to snuggle my warm cup for the next few minutes. I peek under the cap, and I see that the cup isn’t filled to the top with my drink, but that’s okay – I probably would have spilled some anyway. Great chai tea latte from a questionable source. Decent prices, but nothing special. Wish they would fill my cup some day.

This café is right inside the MLK building, which makes it super convenient if you’re walking on Sproul and need a quick caffeine fix. It can get a little pricey, but the baristas are nice and fix your drink quickly and it’s worth it. I love their mango smoothie; if you’re not into super sweet smoothies though, you should try someplace else.

Came here to claim my campus cred free grande drink voucher and I ordered an extra dark latte with whipped cream. At about 11am, it wasn’t too busy so my drink arrived quickly. Not bad. Not the best either though. I like my drinks boiling hot and the drink was not that. They kind of overdid it on the whipped cream too — I had about a half cup’s worth. Note to self: don’t order the whipped cream. If it weren’t for the free voucher, I don’t think I would come here as the drinks are a bit expensive.

The coffee is okay, but very overpriced. The pastries look pretty, but they all taste the same. Like crispy dough with three spoonfuls of sugar and little else. And those sugar crumbs are there like dust, if you’re lucky enough to get a seat. It is a decent place to look for friends and watch events unfold, but it isn’t a place I’d invite anyone to and it’s a little noisy for studying. The staff is hit or miss — some are really good employees who seem at ease and as if they have ownership of their jobs, but others just act like nervous corporate drones who aren’t quite sure what they’re allowed to do and what they’re not. Not a very nice environment. I don’t come here anymore.

It’s just bad. All around very bad. The coffee is poor quality and over priced. It’s bitter and burnt and just… it will ruin your coffee experience for the day. So, if you go… don’t order coffee. However, the service is great and the staff is extremely nice. The location is great to study and people watch. The place is clean and everything except the coffee is perfect here.

I’ve come here a couple times between work on my breaks to grab a shake or iced tea since it’s right next to the store. I’m not sure if I have bad luck but on the last couple visits the girl working has gotten my order completely wrong. I ordered lemonade iced tea on both accounts and once the worker gave me some matcha green tea latte… which I don’t think sounds similar at all. The other time I was give just regular iced tea which isn’t that off. I have to say both times I had to go back and tell them my drink was wrong. At the same time the drinks were watered down and basically filled completely with ice and hardly any tea. The only good experience I have with this place is they have a sit-down area where you can read and whatnot that faces sproul.

I just bought a raspberry lemonade iced tea + blackberry/peach scone here, and I thought everything was great! I originally wanted a bagel w/cream cheese, but they were out): While I don’t understand why a coffee place selling bagels would EVER be out of cream cheese, the employee/cash register guy was SUPER nice and apologetic, so I wasn’t really bothered. Scone was nice and crumbly & buttery, and I liked how I got my choice of blackberry, blueberry, raspberry, or blackberry/peach. I didn’t even know so many choices existed! The raspberry lemonade iced tea is alright. They mixed it all together before adding ice to the top, so my drink is still lukewarm, which is not really yum, but whatever. Overall, food/drink is mediocre, but I’d come back again just for the service.

Had to update my review because this place has become my go-to coffee place while at work. The service is fantastic and the recent changes(we were told there was new ownership) have done a great job of making this space look a lot more like it belongs. The coffee isn’t the best, but it gets the job done. Hell, I keep coming back. If you need a quick coffee before work, before class, or for whatever reason — I’d recommend Tully’s.

No way was I not going to stop in after reading the Daily Cal article about Tully’s soft opening on Friday. Tully’s is a glorified coffee kiosk in the lobby of the MLK building. There is some seating along the corner windows — high chairs and a long L-shaped shelf. What’s missing are the comfortable tables and chairs with nearby outlets for extended stays. The coffees seem«OK»; I had a cappucino and survived the experience.(Espresso drinks are made with the sort of automated pushbutton machines that you see in airports.) The pastries look like rejects from a wax museum. My cap was $ 2.70. A beverage with the same name is $ 1.25 downstairs at the Coffee Spot. Tully’s coffee is actually a bit better, but not dramatically so.
