I have been attending Tuyet Tan Dojo now for over one year. I just turned 65, was initially concerned with my ability to fit in. Everyone, made me feel very comfortable, instruction is self paced, no pressure, & a great learning & fitness experience. I take sincere pride in my accomplishments, with the help of my classmates & Master Allyson, who is absolutely terrific. Young or old, this is the place to gain knowledge, increase self-confidence, skills & have a lot of fun. Dr. Ron Marquardt

I have been training at Tuyet Tan dojo with Master Allyson and and Sensei Roseanne for almost a year. I love it. I had never done martial arts before and it was a very welcoming, fun, challenging practice. There is so much to learn and all of the teachers are skilled, knowledgeable, and create a great space where we learn not only from them, but also from our fellow students. It’s a great work out and totally inspiring. If you feel a little hesitant about trying martial arts, this is a great place to start and stay. Also, it’s not a bad idea to be able to defend yourself.

I’ve been going to Tuyet Tan dojo for about six years now, and have been studying martial arts(mainly Cuong Nhu) for almost fourteen years. Tuyet Tan’s instructors are knowledgeable, friendly, and encouraging. While the dojo encourages self-discipline, it is one of the more relaxed environments I have found to study and share martial arts practice. There is a high level of teacher-student interaction — you aren’t just left on your own to founder along, there’s always a lot of encouraging feedback. I’d recommend this dojo to anyone — maybe particularly to people who are new to martial arts, or coming back after a break. The high number of female instructors also makes it a particularly welcoming environment for women seeking to learn self-defense techniques.
