My roommates and I have been faithful to this pizza joint for the past four years and it delivers. The pizza itself isn’t superb, but the options here are different from what you’ll get at your typical pizza chain(e.g. Domino’s, Papa John’s). The greek pizza is alright, but the garlic vegetarian is fantastic(skip the olives). Also the cheesy sticks are pretty satisfying too. It usually takes 45 minutes for our order to arrive. Check out their daily specials before you order!

Today, I experienced the quickest west coast delivery of my 5 years ordering delivery from them! My cheese sticks were delivered by a suave man in a brown leather jacket who rolled up in a cruiser. Pizzas were carried in a crate attached to the motorcycle and crushed peppers/Parmasian cheese were in his fanny pack. This is definitely a sharp contrast to the paint chipped delivery cars and delivery men in cheesy pizza delivery outfits. Was this an intentional reimaging of the company? Because they arrived within 15 minutes of my ordering, they were still warm and a million times yummier than all the west coast cheese sticks I’ve eaten in the 5 years I’ve known them. I didn’t know these cheese sticks could be any more addicting/consumed at a faster rate. Quick delivery is awesome and dangerous!

By far, the worst pizza and bread sticks I have ever had. The pizza dough at least 2 weeks old. The pizza is tasteless and soggy. By the way, creamy garlic sauce is not ranch sauce. That’s what I had on my pizza. I had to dig looking for the mushroom in my pizza. The cheese tasted like plastic. Same thing applies for the cheesy bread sticks. You know how bad it is when you are drunk and still can feel this about your pizza. Never again, not even when I’m starving. Ps: if you ever gave this place more than 2 stars, sorry you know nothing about pizza.

This is hands down probably one of my favorite pizza places in Berkeley. I get one of the veggie pizzas(can’t remember the name) and it is so good. I can tell that all of the vegetables are fresh and the artichokes on the pizza adds a really nice touch. Can’t say much about this place other than how the pizza tastes because i ordered it, but the pizza does get here in an adequate amount of time and they do call you once your pizza arrives.

I’ve only ever had the cheese sticks from here, which were only decently good. It’s a nice thing to get to share with a group of friends late night, but not something I would order for myself for dinner. The cheese sticks were thin and not that tasty, but I would definitely be willing to try their other products.

There isn’t really anything special about West Coast’s pizza compared to your Dominos or Pizza Hut. I mean sure it tastes different but the economy-price ingredients definitely taste the cheap quality that they are. Some will tell you that the cheesy sticks are awesome, but it is still the too much of a good thing overpowering of cheesiness and saltiness of a low end pizza joint rather than the nuanced nature of a fancier establishment. However there has been many a band event that my only source of sustenance was the West Coast pizza provided to me by my higher ups, and so West Coast, in all of its mediocrity, will always have a nostalgic place in my heart.

Wayyy too greasy, and all the cheese came off in a huge triangle-shaped chunk when I took a bite. It was like eating a flattened out cheese stick on top of some dough. There are a lot better pizza options in Berkeley, but I guess this place is a decent choice if you’re looking to feed a huge crowd for cheap.(Though I would personally think you’d be better off getting a bunch of pizzas from Costco if «cheap» and«a lot» are your goals.) I’d only eat this again if it was at an event with free pizza, lol. At least delivery was on time and the food was hot.

5* for cheesy sticks 3−4* for other pizzas 1−2* for having a 3 mile delivery radius and me living 3.4mi from it. Sad.

Best cheesy sticks I have ever had in my life. They are on time and prompt. They are nice on the phone and in person as well. I never order cheesy sticks anywhere else! It is a great deal for a plethora amount of pizza! I order the Monday special which is 2 boxes for amount $ 20 and it can satisfy 8 – 10 people! West Coast Pizza for the win!

Definitely my late night go-to delivery spot! Really quick, delicious, and reasonably priced pizza. The cheese sticks are BOMB! Also, service has always been great. The person who answers the phone is consistently friendly, and the delivery guys are super nice, even at like 1 am.

I ordered a large traditional pizza, half chesse and half pepperoni and spicy sausage. I also ordered wings. I asked for it to delivered and, it arrived a little too quickly. Maybe 10 minutes or less. The pizza was horrible. The wings were okay. Waste of money!

2 weeks ago I ordered two pizzas for delivery, was told they would be at my door in 30 – 45 min. I live 3 blocks away. An hour and a half later I call, and I’m told the driver left 20 min ago… pizza arrives cold. cheese is solid. I call again, they wonderfully offered to pay for my next pizza. Very nice and apologetic. Today, I call my order in, I’m told it will be ready in 15 min. I show up 35 min after he call was placed. Pay, and the lady at the counter says it’s almost ready. No big deal. I then see her go behind the counter. And begin making my pizza… So wait. I called in ahead of time. Arrived 20 min after you said it would be ready. And you haven’t even begun making it yet? I’m sitting for 20 min before it’s ready. Keep in mind, the place is empty. no other pizzas are being made. The foods good. But the service is lacking.

No seating, pizzas ready in 10 min, they mostly do deliveries. Price starts at $ 13. Really really love their pizza and the guys are always nice. I wish this place existed where I live now.

This is a good local pizza place. The prices are very reasonable, offering great specials. My sister, who doesn’t care much for pizza, absolutely loved it, as did my niece. I love their cheesy sticks! Also, the staff have been great each time I’ve been there.

Just ordered here from half a mile away at a bar/restaurant where the kitchen had closed. It was over 35 minutes late and cold. Not the worst, but the pizza was no better than Domino’s. Never eating here again.

The cheese sticks are awesome but the customer service is not. I called in for delivery knowing my location is maybe too far for delivery. So I asked specifically if my location was deliverable. The lady told me it was fine. So I placed my order and was told it would be 30 – 40 minutes for delivery. One hour later, I got a call from the delivery driver telling me my address was too far for delivery. One hour later. Seriously. They couldn’t have told me earlier? The delivery guy told me to call west coast to get it all sorted out. So I called and the guy at west coast told me the drivers won’t drive more than 3 miles(I’m literally 4 miles away). Moral of the story: Only order delivery if you’re 1 mile away, because they suck. I was disappointed that they couldn’t go one extra mile after I waited for 1 hour, when I specifically asked if my address was ok for delivery and they told me it was fine. Again, good cheese sticks but bad too bad their customer service isn’t great.

Fast delivery, excellent pizza. I like the ultimate cheese pizza because I don’t eat meat pizza also it’s fantastic no tomato whatsoever aka the weak point behind pizza in general. I’ve never had their cheese sticks but one day. One day.

Cheesy sticks are obviously the best way to go, and it feeds starving college kids. All that buttery goodness. I love that they give you four cups of dipping sauce too. Their pepperoni pizza is just okay, nothing special.

Decent pizza for decently cheap. Always quick delivery even on a busy friday or saturday. They almost never screw up your order(unlike Domino’s) and have a decent selection of specialty pizzas. Also, its open super late, which is a huge plus, especially during finals season. A solid choice in lieu of a pizza hut/dominos/papa johns.

I’ve lived in Berkeley for nearly 15 years, and in that time I’ve seen the quality of West Coast Pizza nosedive. The frequency of my orders has dropped to four or five times a year, mostly because the pizzas have become so greasy, invariably overcooked(burnt), and the quality of the toppings has diminished. I’ve continued to order at times when I didn’t feel like waiting for Lanesplitters to deliver, and the Pizza Workshop was closed. I can easily pick up from West Coast Pizza, and they have a 15-minute pick-up guarantee. But over the weekend I had an experience that put the last the nail in the coffin for me. After work on Friday I decided to order a pizza instead of messing around with cooking. Pizza sounded really good. So I called West Coast Pizza and went to their answering system, which is normal. Typically they pick up after the full recording about current specials, etc, but this time the recording looped three times or more, then abruptly hung up on me. I called back, thinking that the call may have dropped. Again, five minutes of recording and a hang up. I gave it one more try, this time also calling in from my Skype account. Each time the recording ensured me that someone would be right with me, my jaw clenched. Sure enough, at exactly five minutes, the system hung up on me. So, I imagined that either they were so busy that their calls were backed up, or there was something wrong and they’d all succumbed to a terrible pizza-baking accident. I decided to drive by on my way to find something else for dinner. I stopped in to find the door open as usual, delivery drivers coming and going, and four or five people prepping pizzas for the conveyor oven. I stood at the counter for a few minutes and finally someone came to me and said they were sorry, but they were closed. I looked around…“Closed?” She explained that they had too many orders and were closed. If the owner decided to close because they had too many orders, they deserve to lose their business. If a manager made the decision, that manager should be fired. How hard would it be to create a recording that simply says, «We’re at capacity to take orders, please try back in an hour,» or take the order but explain that there is a significant delay. I would have been happy to have waited up to an hour for the pizza, but nobody asked. However, having wasted 15 minutes on the phone, being hung up on by the system with no explanation is just not acceptable. It’s shocking to me that anyone would run a business like that. How long has West Coast Pizza been in business, in a college town? There’s no plan around increased demand on Friday nights? Also, as a side note, I’ve always hated the West Coast Pizza website. Just a big image on a page. I hope whoever made the site for them isn’t a professional Web developer, because there are so many things wrong with just putting up a single image containing all of the information for a site, I’m not going to take the time to go into them. I use their site when I give presentations on how not to make a site.
