First time here. We spent $ 15 on 2 hot dogs 2 canned drinks and house made chips. Everything was delicious and made fresh and to order! Highly recommend!

The layout of this place is interesting. The staff was friendly. The Russian dawg was ridiculously good. Cheers!

I know this place is known for the hot dogs. But, let me just say — the veggies sliders are very tasty. They are made fresh in house with chickapeas, garlic and a few other ingredients. It’s very good and filling. I like how they have different soda varieties like root beer and cream soda. They staff is super friendly and patient while you decide what you want to order. It’s a best place with tons of seating upstairs and downstairs.

Came here with my three kids. One plain dog, two cheese burgers, one New York sausage, 4 pops along with two chips=$ 37.49 If you want something different then this is a place to try out. If you want a coney go somewhere else. If you want a Chicago style hot dog go to Hippo’s in Troy. Good food just not great value. My kids like going here, so we would be regulars if not for the steep price.

Great hot dogs! The dogs themselves have a great taste and are cooked to perfection, a nice crispy casing and good flavor. We had«The D» and the Hula dog. The D was your classic coney dog, nothing too surprising, a slight step up from what you might have at Leo’s or National. My wife had the Hula which was much more intense, the dog was served in what I believe was a hoagie sandwich roll. The bread to dog ratio was a little off, it felt like you should have a bigger dog in that size of bun. We had a lot of bread leftover, just felt like it didn’t fit. Good flavor though, love the grilled pineapple.

It’s different, an old house converted into a hip little place. Little pricy for hot dogs, but there good. Been a couple of times, but you don’t get full for the amount you’re gonna spend. I wish they had a couple of more choices in food and drink, also wish prices were a little better. Also takes a little too long to receive your food. Food is tasty and creative, but in today’s times price is also very important. For that reason I can’t give more stars.

I called with a seriously 10 second question and was put on hold for 15 minutes. I had to eventually hang up since I really don’t have the time to stay on hold for that long. If they would have taken the time to at least ask what I was calling about before they forgot about my call, it would have seriously taken 30 seconds. I’m fuming right now. Edit. I ended up going anyway because my boyfriend really wanted a hot dog. I thought maybe they were busy and that’s why I was on hold for forever, NOPE. Only ones there. Than 14 $ for 2 average hot dogs and 2 pops. So NOT worth it.

Walked down to Atomic Dog to satiate an insane craving for a beef frank with chili and cheese. Definitely did not disappoint! Cool crew. Cool options. Super fresh. How the heck did I miss the fried pickles though!!! Next time…

Best hot dog /sausage place around. They got way more than your standard hot dogs. It’s worth the trip. Like the Chicago Slips as well, homemade potato chips.

I love this colorful little joint! Everyone that works here is so friendly, I felt like I was in SLC, surrounded by the Latter Day Saints folk(who, I maintain to this day, are the friendliest people on the planet.)(Disclaimer: no idea what anyone’s religious affiliation is, nor does it matter. I just tangent a lot.) The chitchat w/the cashier, the smiles, the chef who prepared my dawg who has the most excellently wild hair. So much win. These fine folk here can make ANYTHINGONTHEMENUVEGETARIAN! Sounds simple, but do you know how many places don’t or refuse to offer this simple service? So it’s really easy to mess up a Smart Dog brand soy dog(let’s be honest… it’s not the easiest, tastiest canvas to work with.) NOPE, not a problem here at all. I have never had a better veggie dog when I ordered the Mambo King minus the bacon and jalapeño sausage. The best part?! What usually costs $ 7.20, in all its meaty glory, only cost $ 4 and some change in its veggie reincarnation! That’s what I call a smart and fair business… again, not something all businesses do.(I’ve paid full price for«minus the meat» entrees elsewhere that were definitely not worth it.) The VEGGIE Mambo King was so good, I plan on coming back and eating my way through every single item on the menu… something I don’t often get to do! Thanks, Atomic Dawg crew! You are wonderful!

Love this place great y unique variety of of the hot dog I can’t pic a favorite me and my hubby stopped in and was greeted with very friendly and helpful customer service, since it was are first visit they were extremely patient in helping us to make a decision and what was really popular on the menu. Well we tried the Hula Dawg, Russian Dawg(one w/slaw other saurcrout), BBQ Dawg, Manhattan Dawg, homemade chips and o e of the specialty sodas and all was so good love the cute dining area they are a bit pricey for a hot dog but your definately not just getting an ordinary dog, creative gourmet for sure! with the best hot dogs and toppings we spent about $ 35 that’s because we like to try everything.

Delicious great price and interesting options. Atomic dawgs delivers interesting and creative dining options of the traditional hot dog dining experience. One can get a simple hot dog and add some interesting toppings like fried egg, peppers, etc. I had the atomic dog which just offers one free toping for 3.33. Dogs are grilled, split and perfectly crunchy and had these nice grill marks. The only slight issue was the egg no longer was runny it was over medium. This fast casual joint has interesting seating options as it seemed like it used to be a house. I would recommend sitting in the area up the stairs if you don’t want the smell of hot dog to linger in your clothes as they don’t have a vent. They are limited in drink options. They only offer bottled drinks in their cooler and ice tea. So no fountain drinks.

Vegetarian options available! I was craving a veggie dog but the guys at the grill recommended the veggie burgers because they are house made(the dogs are smart dog brand). The onions and buttered buns gave them that awesome slider taste, felt less guilty as it was loaded with lettuce, tomato and pickle(gotta get those veggies in). The burger, chickpea/bulgar based was kind of crispy like a hashbrown– yum! The staff was so friendly, everyone individually came to ask me if I liked my veg burgers! Answer– very much so!

So, let me start by saying that I really enjoy a hotdog every once in a while. I prefer if said hotdog is top notch. Well I found a joint in Berkley that serves up just that. I am writing my review after my second time eating here. Even though the first time was good it took two trips to get the full experience. My first time all my food was hot and fresh but not exactly something I would normally order but it sounded good at the time so I gave it a shot. Everything was so fresh and well prepared that I felt I needed to try this place one moe time before writing this review. Let me tell you how good these dogs are. They have the perfect taste texture and the all important snap when you take a bite. Covered with super fresh toppings, this is a recipe for success. They have plenty of dogs to choose from as well as a few sandwiches and sides. Drinks consist of pop in cans or bottles or if you like shakes and floats. Super tasty, super fresh, super awesome. Give Atomic Dog a try soon.

We were pleasantly suprised by this little hole in the wall. For a hot dog joint, service is painfully slow, but the end product is good. The Chicago dog was well balanced and had just the right amount of toppings(I usually end up throwing out half the bun with hot dogs, but I ate this one. The fried McClure pickles were delish, as were the slips.

YUM! I have been here two times so far and I love it! They have a decent sized fun menu and even though the parking is limited and the place looks small, there is plenty of seating inside. So far I had a Sausage of the Week(unfortunately I can’t remember what it was, but trust me, it was fantastic!) and the Swanky Franky(grilled Atomic wrapped with bourbon smoked bacon and topped with jalapeño lava cheddar). I cannot wait to go back to try the Hula Dawg(teriyaki sauce, grilled pineapple, grilled onions, lettuce and Japanese cherry mayo). Also, be sure to order the McClure’s deep fried pickles, they were great!

Solid dogs here. — Chicago Dog: Sports peppers on the Chicago Dog were a little hotter, they had clearly matured more than the usual sport pepper given their fairly large size. Bun fell apart a bit, but that aside a super solid Chicago dog. — The D: Classic coney, not much to describe here. All I can say is it was on point. Would return here before any local coney to get my fix. — Benicio del Toro: Chorizo house made sausage was fell of spice and flavor. The bun unfortunately was severely oversized, which made for mostly bread in your bite. The romaine lettuce, pico, queso fresco, and salsa verde weren’t really noticeable at all. Fried and Regular McClures pickle on a stick. So good, no notes required. Excited to return one day for some of their creative dogs. Lots of beverage options, was nice to see such a big Dr. Browns line up.

Another UYE at someplace new! Stopped at Atomic Dawg for lunch with a group of Unilocal Peeps. Parking was a little small, I’m lucky I found a stall. At the entrance on the ground floor you order your food. Servers find you & your number and deliver your meal. Tables on the 2d &3d floor to dine. Ordered the swanky franky(bacon, jalapeño cheddar) sans cheese– it became just a bacon wrapped hot dog. Also got the Chicago slips(home made potato chips) with a side of chili & diet Vernors. Total cost — $ 10.70. Not bad for a specialty hot dog with sides. And catching up with Unilocal Peeps is always fun! One of these days I’ll do a review before Liz P does! Will repeat and recommend!

Went here today for a UYE(Unofficial Unilocal Event) with some other Unilocal Elite peeps. It *would* have been 5 out of 5 stars for me except it took about 40 minutes for our food to be delivered. The place wasn’t really crowded either. Other than that, though, the food was DELICIOUS. I got the Chicago Dawg with the sports peppers on the side(and thank goodness I did, I tried one and they are HOT! The lady at the counter said mild hotness, maybe I just have no tolerance though …) and the Slips(potato chips — delivered hot from the oven, yum!). I also got a cream soda. The place is a little pricey — 1 hot dogs + the chips + a drink was about $ 9 — but the food is very, very good. It’s located in downtown Berkley(I didn’t even know Berkley HAD a downtown) and has a tiny parking lot in back plus there is(free!) street parking. I’d come here again, I want to try their«dawg» that has the pulled pork topping — similar to Imperial in Ferndale, it seems. The chicago dawg was great, another tiny gripe is that the bun was falling apart as I was eating it(aka, don’t come here on a date, lol, as things got messy) but food quality is good. I LOVE potato chips that are chewy, too, and that’s what you get here. A few in our group got the fried pickles on a stick, which also looked good(and $ 1.39 too, so it’s not a bad deal). I want to try one of those next time too.

I guess Good Friday allowed me to order quickly w no line. My order came up quickly. I only ordered one Chicago Dawg carryout just to get a taste. Will try more esp. the sausage and lamb one sounded tasty. They hve a weekly special added menu item. Pro: good tasty beef natural casing dog, all the correct toppings, toppings were fresh, poppy bun very solid. Con: dawg a bit small but normal size so not out of the ordinary(I dislike ¼ lb. huge dogs anyway), hot dog was warm but not hot, didnt taste grilled taste as much as I hoped. Sausage items a bit pricey but sometimes u hve to pay for quality. Verdict: I will be back. I enjoyed the dog immensely. Will stick to Chicago mostly but will try others. And want to try the sausages esp. the lamb one. Update: Went back a second time. Chicago dawg. Tasty again. I did get it split and grilled this time. I noticed celery salt which I dont remember if it was put on the first time. Good traditional addition. Also, my one fear happened this time, some of the bun got soggy. Not sure if from the veggies… Dawg was still good.
