LOVE Blu Ivory.(not to be confused with Blue Ivy… as in, Blue Ivy Carter… as in, the famous offspring of Jay-Z and Beyonce. And for the record, Blu Ivory the boutique has totally been around longer than Blue Ivy the baby.) :) This women’s boutique is located on Berkeley on 12 mile between Garfield and Coolidge. It is the only boutique I’ve been to where nearly every single piece is unique, yet wearable, and quality made. The only thing that stops me from buying out the store each time is a limited disposable income, and the fact that(as in all stores) some pieces just don’t look as good as me as they do on the mannequin. The price range isn’t exactly cheap, but it is certainly reasonable for knowing you are getting a quality, one-of-a-kind piece(shirts might be around $ 30−40…dresses $ 50−70…etc). Their clothes are on the nice end of casual — many of them can be dressed up or dressed down. Pieces that are a wearable style, but with high fashion details. The store itself is very cute, clean, and organized. And I don’t know what kind of magic mirror they have in the dressing room, but I swear it makes me looke 10 lbs thinner every time. :) They don’t have a website but they are on facebook, just search the name. The woman who owns it(bonus — always love supporting a female owned business!) runs the page and always posts pictures of the current items they have in and communicates promptly via private message if you have questions about prices, sizes, etc. She also runs occassional sales that are advertised on the page as well. It’s probably better that I don’t live real close to here, because I’d likely spend all my rent money and be left with a bunch of fierce clothes and no closet to put them in. :) Ladies, if you want to have an outfit that will turn heads, won’t break the bank, and you can be assured no one else is wearing — shop Blu Ivory Couture! (*Note — they do not carry plus sizes)
