My dad spent many days and nights at this bar in the 90’s. He first took me a few months ago for the all you can eat wings they have wednesday and thursday. The first time we went it was packed so i figured the waitress was very busy thats why she didnt come back to check on us for a very long time. After a few more visits ive realized the waitresses just suck. The woman brought us our food and didnt return until after about 30 mins when i tracked her down. Finally got a refill on my soda and more wings. Another half hr at least passed no waitress. I once again tracked her down and asked for a box. I get a box every time for the wings i couldnt finish but this time she came out with the smallest box saying thats all shes allowed to give me. I guess she thought my wings werent going to fit but they did. My son got a lemonade, the waitress filled the cup half way and charged full price. Also charged for our refills. She should have mentioned it wasnt free refills. The 3 times she came to our table we had to talk fast because she was walking away like she was rushing. Soo from my experience i will only do take out. The wing sauce is the best ive ever had.

Great local place. Known for their wings and country music. I went this past st. Pattys day. Everytime I go I ALWAYS get the wings. This time I wanted to try something new. So I tried the bacon cheeseburger delux. I know. Big change right? Two of my fav foods. Wings and bacon cheeseburgers. Let me tell you, suprisingly, it was one of the best dam burgers I have had in a long time! It was perfect! Nice thick patty. Cheese was melted just right two nice slices of red tomato. I was so impressed I was about to get another. Thank god I didn’t. I ate so fast my brain didnt register I was stuffed yet. Lol. My gf got the 10 piece wings. She loves them. The servers are always nice. Never a complaint w them.

I ABSOLUTELY love this place! My fiancé and I are here a few times a week. They have the best wings I have ever tried and I have tried many different wings from many places. The beer is cheap and cold and the bartenders are great and super friendly. You just feel so comfortable and at home in this place. You’re always welcomed with a big smile! This will forever be my favorite bar.

Don’t order the«jumbo» wings! Smallest things I have ever seen. We even asked if it was worth going«jumbo» and the bartender said they were 75% bigger. $ 20 for 20 itty bitty wings later-they charge 75 cents for 4 pieces of celery-and my family is still hungry! Go for the sauce and make your own wings.

This is one of the top dive bars I’ve been in… everyone is friendly on the weekends they have live music with a dance floor and on the other end of the bar they have a nice level pool table… I have not had many things on the menu but that is just because their wings are so dam good that’s basically all I eat there however I have been told the other food on the menu is very good as well… I can honestly say I have never had a bad time at this place just make sure you don’t have an early morning the next day because its the type of place where it seems like you just walked in and next think you know its 2am

Holy crap. My boyfriend just drug me here from Philly(he’s a Jersey boy). I was kicking and screaming the entire time. I’m a wing expert and blue cheese is my spirit condiment. I came here ready to tell him I hated it no matter what. As soon as I walked in, I couldn’t hide it. I absolutely loved it from first site. It’s my kind of bar. Cheap, good beer. Juke box. Big. Super friendly people and service. And then the wings came. The wings. Again, I can’t stress how picky I am about calling a wing/blue cheese combo great. And these. We’re. Great. I’d go as far as to say maybe the best I’ve ever had. The sauce is like no other. You just have to try it. Believe me. It’s worth the $ 5 toll. And, unless I’m going to Avalon, I avoid New Jersey at all costs.

If you had the wings you would know why is 5 stars. Can’t comment on anything else because the wings are so good they are all I have ever ordered.

this is our second time here and we still love it! it’s definitely a locals’ joint, very farm/country-ish since it’s in the middle of Berlin. the service was definitely better the first visit then the second visit. but, this is once of those places were the food is more important then the service. we got a double order of chicken bites, 10 famous wings, 10 honey jerk wings, and krickle cut fries. you get so much food! the chicken bites were covered in their famous wing sauce and they were delicious, you get so many bites for $ 13! i really loved the honey jerk sauce more then their famous sauce. the boyfriend loved both equally. you get more then 10 wings in each older. definitely worth the money. it was under $ 8 for each order of 10 wings. we’ve never tried anything else on the menu because the wings are just so good. on Wednesdays & Thursdays, they have all you can eat wings for $ 8. cannot wait to go back!

Congratulations! Golden Nugget won 1st place for the WORST service EVER. The food was just ok… I think Pic-A-Lilli wings are way better… and their service shows they actually care about their customers. We showed up at 645. We ordered drinks at the bar which was good, nice impression from the bar selection and service. Then decided to grab a table around 700. We were not greeted at all… we looked right at the waitress and she didn’t even notice us. At this point is a 730 and still nothing… then a different couple shows up at 730 and literally withing seconds, a waitress comes right over and gets them drinks. Then comes back and takes their order. More time goes by and still nobody comes over. finally we got fed up of waiting for the waitress that apparently didn’t see us. A nice waitress came over after that and did ok. The Golden Nugget could use more waitresses and training. The lady with short dark hair was the one who ignored us and I swear we were invisible to her. It felt like she was waiting for a local to show up and came right over to wait on them. We felt like chopped liver. The nice young blonde was a decent waitress and helped us after we asked the bar for menu’s.

I’ll give this a 4 because the beers are cold. I thought I’d try the wings that they say are the best. I don’t like really hot wings so I tried mild. The cook must have forgotten about them in the deep fryer because wings were overcooked. I may give wings another chance.

Called in an order of 10 wings, nachos grande, ranch and blue cheese. Order was supposed to be ready in 30 mins, ended up getting there and waiting an extra 30 mins. I get home, open it up and the nachos were plain with nothing on them, literally JUST nachos. There was no ranch and there was a hair in the celery. I went straight back and got my money back. They didn’t even make a counter offer for the inconvenience to try and make things right. I’ll never eat here.

I usually only go here for wings. One of my favorite wings in the area. While they are great and I love going on «all you can eat» night, sometimes it is too long to eat. You get a plate of about 8 – 10 wings. And you have to wait 20−30mins sometimes for the next plate. I swear sometimes they are waiting to see if you will leave so they don’t have to keep feeding you. Also if you go on all you can eat night, you walk around looking for a table, bit keep getting told«that table is reserved». One night there were 4 tables just sitting there with multiple groups just walking around for a place to sit. There isn’t enough tables at times.

This is a great place to get wings. This would be number #1 on my list for dive bars. People are nice atmosphere is good, it is just an old town bar for wings and beer. Sometimes they have live music. I go ever Sunday to get wings. I have a beer at the bar and take my wings home. Good place to go with the guys!!!

Nice casual restaurant on the edge of Berlin. Country-ish atmosphere. Very local and friendly service though can be slow. Prices are decent and food is good. We go for the wings. Delicious! Good place if your just looking for a bar/restaurant. Tip: Reserve a table if you plan on going at night. And be on time!

Went back tonight friday july 4th with the band US1. Band was average at best. Bar scene was kinda down. Bartenders were the same older women needing glasses to see anything and not attentive as they should be with half the bar full. Lots of potential here they just aren’t getting it.

Off the beaten path, so it’s a gem in the woods. Beers are cheap, $ 1 all you can eat pizza on Mondays. I have friends who have eaten 20 pieces a piece, all for $ 1, so it’s good. It’s a great place to meet your friends and have a cold one.

$ 1 for all you can eat pizza on Mondays was the reason for me attending the Golden Nugget. The pizza isn’t great, but what do you expect for practically free. It isn’t so bad if you add red pepper flakes and their wing sauce to the pizza. An amazing deal for dinner on Monday. They also serve all you can eat dungenous crab on Monday nights. The other reason that I went to the Golden Nugget was for Monday Night Football. It is really annoying that they have a DJ during the game. No one was dancing, no one was even near the dance floor. Every bar patron was crowded on the opposite side of the bar from the DJ, almost as if they were trying to escape him. The music was country, pop country, and metal-rap fusion(a la Limp Bizkit). None of which is what I tend to go for. The DJ was taking suggestions, but my only suggestion was to stop playing music so I could hear the game. I might be back to eat more pizza, and I hear their wings are pretty good, but that’s about it.

I was just introduced to this longstanding, local establishment last night. I hail from Northeast Philly, known for it’s neighborhoods, and this bar screamed neighborhood bar, even though it’s located in a «half country-half suburb» location in south Joisey. I was brought here for one thing and one thing only: it’s wings. Walking in and seeing a sign that reads«Best Wings in the World», I felt like Buddy the Elf! Whoda thunk it, but the best wings in THEWORLD happen to be located in Berlin, NJ! Ok, so it was a bit of hyperbole on their part, but at least I wasn’t completely let down. It was all-you-can-get wing night for under $ 10. They serve them to you 12 at a time and I put away two servings. By my calculations(I’m nice at Math), that’s under 50 cents a wing. Can’t beat that! Well, I guess technically you could, but I know a good deal when I see one. The wings were a Goldilocks’ approved size– not too big and not too small. For wings to be good, it’s all about the sauce– taste and the amount. They were appropriately tossed in a very tasty, slightly spicy sauce. In my opinion, there could have been more sauce as I like looking down and seeing a pond of sauce when I’m all finished. My only criticism is that there weren’t the usual options for spicyness – just one kind. I tend to lean towards spicier the better. Yes, I’m one of those people who subscribes to the Emerilian way of life– always looking to kick it up a notch. The great thing about this place is it actually sells the wing sauce in a jar. Great way to take the taste home with you. As far as the rest of the bar, it’s a huge bar, with plenty of tables, and there’s also a live band that plays. My only gripe with the band was that they did not honor my request to play any Wham! songs, no matter how many times I requested. They also have great food specials and a pool table that happened to be hosting league night for the local pool sharks.

This place is great, easily one of my favorite bars in the area. I’ll miss it when I move! Whenever I go, there’s plenty of spots at the bar. I usually just get something light(Coors). A regular pint will run about $ 3.50 and before I finish I’m always asked if I want another. If you’re like me, you hate sitting at a bar with an empty glass… right? Not a problem here. The food is good and cheap too! On the nights I go, they seem to always have a live band playing, more country music than anything else. I definitely would recommend the Golden Nugget to anyone looking for a good casual atmosphere and cold drinks.
