Good casual sports bar like spot… Premium bar food with decent soups and sandwiches. Good place for dinner and a beer.

Great food !! Especially the burgers! The service was just great. The only negative thing I would have to say would be the way that bartender made his margaritas ! THUMBSDOWNONTHE Margaritas

Ordered loaded fries based on the picture that was posted by another customer on Unilocal but I received UN-loaded fries. They had less than 2 Tbs.(no exaggeration) of finely shredded cheese on top, couldn’t taste cheese at all, and maybe 1Tbs. of bacon bits. Pretzel bun was tasty but the size of an English muffin; order it if you aren’t hungry.

Coming from way out of town, we were pleasantly surprised by this local restaurant. Excellent drinks and specials. The food was outstanding. I had the chicken jumbalaya and my wife and daughter shared a full rack of ribs. Potion sizes on both were very generous, and the taste was spot on. Don’t know if we will ever be back this way again, but we will definitely visit if in the area.

Gotta love this place. Staff is friendly, and I guess he is a manger does walk around and ask how is everything. The one day I asked for hot wings. I asked told them the hotter the better. The waitress brought them out and wow, one sniff and my nose was tingling. The cook even came out and asked how they were and how he tweeked the recipe for my special order. Gave him a thumbs up. He said good. Glad you enjoy them.

After a disappointing take out meal several months ago, I was going to give an honest review of my experience on Unilocal, but saw that the manager Rob Long had responded to several reviewers saying that he wished they had spoken with him so that he could rectify the problems they described. So I contacted Rob who was gracious enough to send me gift certificates to revisit the restaurant and give them another try, which I was happy to do. So here is my honest review for our eat-in experience. We returned on 3÷2÷16 for dinner. My son and I had chicken wings(with the spicy/sweet Rondo Sauce), southwestern egg rolls, jambalaya, and my son got some type of bacon cheeseburger and a side of onion rings. The good: Southwestern egg rolls were top notch, and the wings very tasty and nicely crisped, which is just the way we both like them. I would like to try some of their other flavors, especially the garlic-parmesan wings. Both of these items were on the appetizer menu, but the portion size for both was VERY big. The not as good: The jambalaya was just average, and the chicken on top was slightly charred, giving it a burnt flavor. My son thought the burger was decent, but not special. The star of the night were the battered(beer battered??) onion rings, which were by far the best I have had in years, my son agreed. There was a faintly sweet flavor to them that was delicious, and they were cooked perfectly. We had terrific service from a young lady named Alex. Between her service and the great customer service skills exhibited by manager Rob Long, I bumped this review from a 3 to a 4. I would return to Ollie Gators again when I am hungry for bar food, like the great appetizers. As an added bonus, it was open mic night and a young man with a guitar and a great voice started playing shortly before we left.

Love it here! The owner is hands on and always comes out to greet us and see how our food is. The service is great and the food is way better than typical bar food. My favorite is the crab and shrimp quesadilla. So good! The chicken fingers are a go to for me too! My husband always gets the gator bites and loves them. Plus the popcorn before your meal is great. They have a kids night, i forget which night it was we were there, but they have a clown/balloon animal lady there. The youth football organization i am involved with needed a place to have a last minute meeting and they accomodated us(about 30 people) last minute. Great place!

Eventhough I have lived in this town for almost 20 years, I have never been here before. So we tried it the other night and was pleasantly surprised. Walking it it totally has that dive bar cheers feel, like everyone there knows each other. But there’s a dining area behind all that so don’t be intimidated. We sat in the dining area. We ordered the crab fries, which have actual lump crab on them. They were really good. I could have easily eaten a bigger portion than what they serve. And then we shared the veggie pretzel bun burger. That was really tasty. Kinda like a patty melt but w a soft pretzel bun. The server was great and twice we got asked by what I’m assuming was a manager, if we were ok or needed anything so that was nice. Gonna have to try and go back soon.

The quality of the food at Gators has definitely been elevated in recent years… the Saturday prime rib sandwich special is so good I hate to talk about it on Unilocal in fear that it will sell out before I get the chance to order it but if it is sold out you can never go wrong with the roast beef sandwich… the chicken tenders are an everyday go to made in house not crappy premade frozen junk thrown in the fryer… Many of the dressings and such are made in house half price apps for late night… and if they do great catering you get a lot for your money with the catering menu my family has had many parties catered by Gators and have never been disappointed(typically were eating the leftovers for days) I go out or order out at least 5 times a week and this is one that is on my regular rotation never disappointed

This place has been open forever! I used to live right down the road and yet only managed to make it last month. It was a bad decision though. For bar food it was really greasy and mediocre ingredients. It felt like the sandwich was made and then reheated later in a microwave. They also serve potato chips with everything so be prepared to pay more for fries.

I’ve lived in the area my entire life and my first visit to Ollie Gators was a couple weeks ago. Not sure why we’ve never stopped in but I definitely wish we had because I missed many years of good food! We received a bowl of popcorn upon sitting which was great because I skipped lunch that day. It was family night and they had a face painter/balloon animal twister to entertain the kiddos. My daughter requested an odd looking Olaf but she loved it all the same. We were skipping the drinks that evening but took a gander at their drinks menu which has tons of specials. Next time we’ll skip family night, get a sitter, and take advantage of the great deals. Their menu is huge with a NOLA twist. I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich which was perfectly crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside. I do wish it had lettuce, tomato, and/or onion and in that sense the sandwich was was rather plain. Their hand cut fries are amazing and next time I’m going to order the Gator fries which has sweet and spicy cheeses and scallions. Yum!

We were just passing through and the sign caught our eye. Great little pub with a Louisiana/Cajun touch. I had an opened face roast beef with garlic mashed potatoes. Wife had ham melt on pretzel bun. Both had great portions and tasted amazing. If in the area again, we’ll definitely have to stop back again.

I have lived near Ollie Gator’s Pub for more than 20 years without realizing this is more than a bar. It is a very good creole/cajun restaurant with well prepared food and reasonable prices. On our second visit we saw the dining room adjacent to the lively bar and like that much better. Many varied menu items should suit most because there is variety from burgers to entrees. Strong kitchen and top notch chef. We’ll be back!

I constantly have mediocre experiences at this place. The service is generally lousy. Slow, rude, etc and if it wasn’t for the racks on some of their waitresses I wouldn’t go back

Great atmosphere at reasonable prices. Great chow too. Out of the view in Berlin small shopping mall. But worth finding for a Cajon type food.

I’m not sure what the other reviewers were smoking, but this place is average at best. The wings… Were better than BW3 and the likes, but not by much. Don’t breath in before you take a bite. The fajitas sucked, don’t get those. My buddy got the crab cheese fries and those were legit. Good appetizer choice with some beers. Overall, I wouldn’t drive out of my way again for this place. The other reviewers must be relatives of the owners.

The food is good and consistent. If you are wanting to have a quiet dinner go before 9pm when the bar is jumping. I like that they give you popcorn to munch on while you wait for your food. Good local joint.

I like that they give you popcorn, and they replenish it often if needed. More bars should do this. I also liked that they served bottles of Abita Strawberry. I wish they had Abita on tap, or having a few more Abita options in bottle form. I tried the snapper soup. It was alright, not the greatest I’ve had. They served it with sherry. I’d be interested in trying some of the other food, specifically the jambalaya. The bar is hard to get around, and seemed packed even though there wasn’t a large crowd there. The crowd itself was a little odd(grown men posing in videos like teenage girls all night), but not a terrible atmosphere. Service was friendly, it was weird how often the manager came by to check on us. My friend who comes here often told me there is some sort of prize for you if they don’t… or something… I don’t remember. I wish they had a larger outdoor area.

if you’ve never been here now is the time to go! I’ve been a regular for several years now, through acquaintances and family I have also met the owners and staff. To start their they’re not only kind and friendly, but they’re also very attentive! They offer a variety of delicious options, specials every single day of the week, and every sort of diet will be happy to find something to enjoy on the menu. I would have to say my number one favorite is the snapper soup. I’ve tried it all over the area and they have the best. I’m saying the hands down best! If you are on your way to the shore or even on your way back stop in. You are sure to be treated like family. They also have a great late night menu, special beverages, fantastic jukebox, and free popcorn!
