Pretty typical of any other Subway, with the exception of the young man in dread locks, and no hair covering. Pretty unappatizing with that mess making our sandwich. We will not be going back there. There is a Subway in the Wal-Mart on 528 that has cleaner staff.

We went out of our way to get Subway as an alternative to McDonalds or Burger King. The moment we pulled up, two families got out and got in line. We decided to stick with the plan and waited about 30 minutes for our sandwich. In retrospect, this was dumb and put us in a time crunch. Food was to be expected — my salad was decent with a lot of meat on it(though it could have used more lettuce) and his sandwich was tasty but dry as dust and flaked everywhere. However, Dillon, the dude behind the counter worked his tail off to help each customer, never losing patience and being kind to each person who ordered a sandwich. He was working by himself and he handled the line smoothly and efficiently. The wait was unavoidable with that many people but he dealt with it with aplomb and humor. Subway itself is only deserving of 3 stars but Dillon is a 5 star employee.

Good service and friendly staff. Not too many options for somewhat healthy food up here so I usually stop here when I’m up in Bernalillo. Eat fresh or die mmkay?! Oh yeah, make sure to boycott flat bread pizzas. I promise if no one orders those immitation pizzas, they will quit selling them. :)
