If you decide to fill out an application(which is extensive) and pay the application fee(which is reasonable) be sure to try and stay on top of what’s happening with your application because they might just start ignoring you and adopt the dog your interested in to another person and not even tell you. So, you might just wait around hoping they get back to you and they never do… even if you e-mail them to check on the status of your application. Now, I totally understand that they are going to put the dog in whatever situation they find the best for the dog but I just couldn’t believe that they would take my money, call my references(which were glowing), and just stop all communication. The lack of common curtsey was astounding. If you decide to adopt from this group, be prepared to be jerked around! Here is the letter that I wrote to them once I went back to and found out that the dog I was interested in was adopted: How rude!!! You should have told me that Winston had been adopted by another person! Instead you just cut off communication with me and I am just supposed to guess that he’d been adopted!!! In the future, please be nice enough to tell a potential adopter that the dog they are looking at is no longer available! Anyways, I am not going to ask for my application fee back because I believe that it is going to a good cause but I will for sure go out of my way to let people know to avoid working with your organization in the future. –Sarah
