My girlfriend and I have never been horseback riding before and we weren’t sure what to expect from Amigos Outback Adventures, but we decided to take the deal we found on Livingsocial. When we decided to make an appointment, we found it somewhat difficult to book a time using their Website — it was hard to navigate and we later found out that they do not update their calendar due to poor weather conditions. We later found this out after the fact when we made an appointment on their site and were notified via email that it had been canceled several hours later. We then waited a few months later to make our next appointment — but this time we decided to do so by email. The event organizer confirmed our appointment the same day, and let us know that the address for the ride had changed and explained that we should meet him by a red barn. We followed his instructions, and arrived at the red barn that he had told us about — but he was nowhere to be seen. So after 10 minutes of waiting, we gave him a call and he drove down to explain where we needed to go, which ended up being another mile away from the red barn. When we got there he offered us water and had us sign waiver forms — but we then had to wait another 20 minutes for the other riders to arrive. By this time, we were 30 minutes behind our 11:00 appointment. When we finally got on our horses, we were lead by a very nice young man that gave us very clear instructions on how to control our horses and navigate through the trail. He was very friendly throughout the ride and even offered to take pictures of the riders. We could tell the horses were very well taken care of and trained — they were very calm and obedient throughout the ride. After about an hour of riding, we were rushed off of our horses so that the next group wouldn’t have to wait as long to start their ride. The organizers didn’t thank us for coming or say goodbye to us — they simply made their focus on the next group, which I felt was somewhat rude. Our experience was great while we were on the ride, but all of the events that lead up to it and our experience after the ride could have been handled more professionally.
