Headed over now. I need to stock up on cookies and chocolate!

Stopped in after picking up some items at the pharmacy next door. Guy working was incredibly polite to my daughter and myself. Cute little shop. We got 3 items. A m&m cookie for my daughter, peanut butter chocolate chip and a walnut brownie. All 3 were incredibly dry. The cookies literally crumbled apart when opening and were rock hard when u bit into the small pieces left. The brownie was also quite dry and really nothing to write home about. There was a laughably small selection of fresh (?) chocolates in a display case but we didn’t try to I can’t say anything to the taste. It looked half melted though. All in all I’ll keep making my homemade items aT home and skip these.

Don’t even know where to start… this is a regular weekly stop for my daughter and I. She loves the sprinkle cookie and the M&M cookie. The owner/​operator and his staff are above and beyond friendly and welcoming. My go-to…local coffees and the Il Diablo truffle… all of his confections are tasty but I love the heat in this thing. Have also had his breakfast wraps and now he’s venturing into BBQ… this guy can do no wrong!

His cookies are amazing! I googled the «cookie guy» because I’m craving his cookies years later lol! I used to eat them when he catered to my old job. Totally going to make a trip soon to spoil myself!

The service is fabulous! I am left speechless over the quality of the food. The cookies are wonderful the sandwiches awesome!

I always order a Hot Mocha and am never disappointed. The taste is less sweet than Starbucks. Much closer to a Seattle Coffee Shop taste which I prefer.

Amazing!!! I ordered these from LA to have them delivered for my Moms Birthday in Winchester, VA and she loved them! They were so friendly to deal with. Everyone was so super NICE! And the cookies were delivered on time and wrapped beautifully and she said they we’re so goooood! Thanks so much! I’ll be back for all my gift sending needs. You guys are great!

I live in the area and have visited this establishment off and on since they opened. Mostly, I’m grateful this business exists here in Berryville. The owner is very forward thinking. He offers not only cookies, but also bakery items, coffee & tea, breakfast sandwiches, gift items, etc. His products are refreshingly upscale for such a small town and his display is beautiful. I wouldn’t say the cookies are always the best I’ve ever had nor the freshest. I’m a bit of a cookie snob, though. I think cookies should be chewy and soft on the inside and a little crisp on the outside. His cookies are a little cakey for me and I can always tell when they are more than a day old. The coffee is very good, however, and the hot chocolate is excellent.
The owner’s more recent passion appears to be in roasting varieties of cacao beans for chocolate. Most of these have been a little bitter for my taste, but perhaps my palate is too simple to judge.
What I find most interesting about this establishment is the mixed feedback I hear from members of the community. Most people really like the cookies, a couple of people have told me they don’t like the coffee and another said that the hot chocolate was a little too authentic for their taste (it’s made with dark chocolate instead of milk chocolate.) Unfortunately, the most common form of feedback I hear is an uncomplimentary account of the owner’s customer service. Some folks find his personality abrupt and egotistical. He does not have a public bathroom and said he will never turn his shop into a coffee shop because he doesn’t want customers planting themselves for hours in his establishment. This actually makes good business sense, but will not endear him to the community. In general, I have found him to be a little cagey and illiberal. For example, I ordered an Americano, but asked for just one shot of espresso instead of the two that it normally comes with. He charged me full price even though one shot of espresso is about half the price. The hot water costs an extra dollar… really? That said, I will probably continue to visit this shop because there are no other competitors here. I do think, however, that the owner would benefit most from the socioeconomic profile of this community if he focused on growing his business while hiring others to take care of his customer interactions.

I had the Americano and apricot scone. Both were exactly what I wanted! I am riding my bicycle cross country and I’m really glad I stopped by!
P. S. I have over 5 years baking experience, the bakers here have heart :)

The pecan chocolate chip is my favorite but I’ve never gone wrong by trying all of his other delights. The custom lattes are yum and the service is excellent. I haven’t tried
The chocolate bars yet but they look nothing short of ahhhhmazing. I also like the décor and ambiance. It’s nice to just sit, sip, nibble and read the paper. I’d give 6 stars if I could.

I’m giving this place 5 stars just for the amazing Bolivian Chocolate made in house! The cookies and coffee are pretty good too.

The Cookie Guy is an awesome place for hot beverages, delicious treats, and smoothies! I’ve gone there countless times and I’ve never been disappointed. I always find something new or get the usual mango/​strawberry smoothie made with the freshest ingredients! The interior (compared to most places in Berryville) is modern and fits the atmosphere that this place is trying to portray. I recommend this place to anyone who wants uniquely, homemade cookies, select brews of coffee, or really any beverage that suits them!

Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced (you would think being in such a small town you’d get friendlier service… not so much). My friends and I USED to go here all the time to study. However, I will never step foot in this place ever again. Today there was a bald guy working there with absolutely no manners or social graces what so ever.
We asked to use the bathroom — the answer was NO. I later asked for the wifi password and he told me NO I can not use the wifi password. Kind of strange since the last couple of times we’ve been there we have been able to use the wifi password AND use the bathroom. What kind of coffee shop doesn’t allow you to use their internet? It would be one thing if he was apologetic and/​or respectful but he was incredibly rude and warranted no explanation for not being able to use the password.
Really not a great way to run your business …

What a cute little shop and the selection of cookies is overwhelming! I had to buy six and they have a deal that will get you a free one too.
I also had a caramel malt shake which was DELICIOUS! :)
I wonder how many calories one person could consume in one visit — yikes!

This place was really cute– the guy who was working the cashier was hilarious! He greeted us, and as soon as he found out that were first-​time visitors, he gave us a little tour of the place and asked us a trivia question for a chance to win a free cookie (which I lost — so embarrassing!). We purchased 3: Oatmeal Raisin, Bacon Chocolate Chip, and Pecan Chocolate Chip. We tried the Oatmeal Raisin and it was unbelievably DELICIOUS! I’m not much of an oatmeal raisin cookie fan (I actually thought that Golden Corral’s was actually nice and chewy — ha!), but this one was quite tasty; you can taste the oats, there was a perfect amount of raisins, and the flavor itself was amazing — it wasn’t too chewy and it wasn’t too crunchy — a perfect medium. I can’t wait to try out the other two! Plus, the prices are more than reasonable for individually-​wrapped cookies; if you buy more, you get more a discount. Definitely a place to check out when you’re in the Berryville area!

Yummy chocolate chips cookies. Kudos to the Cookie Guy for donating some cookies for a fundraiser for Blue Ridge Wildlife Rescue!

Stopped in this week to sample some of The Cookie Guy’s sweets. We tried the traditional chocolate cookies and the chocolate brownies with chocolate chips. Both were delicious — the brownies had great flavor and were lighter than my recipe.
I will definitely be returning to try the other goodies over the summer (the hotter it gets outside, the less often I bake at home). The Cookie Guy has some very interesting cookie flavors. The store is clean and neatly organized.

YUM YUM YUM. The cookies are yummy and so is the owner.
