Drove up this way to go to Berwick brewery. They weren’t open yet so Unilocal showed me some early opening places and we chose O’Donnells winery. Going through a commercial area and turning by a junk yard we weren’t sure what we would find. Over the railway tracks and we were on a gorgeous old farm. House was from the very early 1800’s. Garage was the tasting room. We went in and the garage door was opened to a lovely backyard with tables in and out. There was a wine festival in town so the winemaker was our host. He asked what kind we liked and both of us said white, me dry and hubby sweet. They had mostly Red’s so he had to describe and sell us on them. We were so surprised to like the Reds. Not a lot of acid or tannins. We bought a Cabernet and the Malbec. I can’t wait to have the Malbec with steak tomorrow. Do yourself a favor and get over here!
