This bar is as local as it gets, primarily serving patrons in the vicinity of 16th Street, a block east of Harlem. This bar doesn’t even have a sign, and is very easy to miss. I didn’t even know the name until at least my third visit. I give this shithole a full three stars because it’s absolutely awesome. Cheap beers, friendly(drunken) old people, and a very jaded owner(who has been trying to sell the bar for years, and lives in the back room). The Maple makes a great after-party spot when I’m on my way home from someplace else. Walk in with a posse of 3 or more people and you practically own the place. This bar does sport a couple of amenities. There is a cheap pool table and(surprisingly) an internet-connected jukebox. Bill & Ed’s Maple Inn. If you don’t like it, you are way too uptight, and really have no business in Berwyn. You gotta have a sense of humor to live here.

This is the smallest bar I have seen yet in my bar travels. Not too bad of a place. They are basically a neighborhood bar in the middle of no where in Berwyn. The service was good and the beer cheap. people who go to this place I imagine are within walking distance. Pretty unique place in a pretty unique street of the near West suburbs.
