Shopped at this store #648 in Berwyn. Arrived home and two items were missing. Called the store the next day to inquire about items. Was told by Steve that he watched the video and maybe the items(microwave plates and Jello cheesecake) could have fallen out in my car. Well Steve that was the first placed I checked. No such items were in my car. Their customer service was not what I expected. Well I’ll be calling the Corporate office for assistance.

We pop in here occasionally when we need a quick, whatever it is people come to dollar stores for. It’s always clean and well stocked and there are great prices on the candy. Interaction with staff only ever consists of a basic greeting at the register and a thank you at the end of the transaction. It’s not at all likely an employee roaming wild in the store will greet, speak, or offer assistance of any kind. Yesterday we were desperately trying to find a spray bottle. After circling the cleaning and beauty aisles numerous times we asked someone stocking a nearby aisle. Upon describing what we wanted, he shrugged and went back to stocking. How awesome is the customer service here? Well, mostly nonexistent I suppose. So off to Meijer, land of friendly workers we went.

I literally can’t stand this place. I’ve tried. I really have. You can’t beat the deals here so I shop here for work stuff from time to time. And it’s always a horrendous experience. I’ve made several orders on line and gotten them delivered to this store. The first time the restocked/lost my order. That was a nightmare. Then I went back for personal stuff and they broke a glass and caused me to cut myself. When that happened the lady looked at me like I was an inconvenience. I asked for a band aid she said she didn’t have one. I asked the manager she said they didn’t have one but that they probably sold one in the store somewhere. «You raggedy heffa go get me a bandaid» is what I should’ve said. But instead I grabbed a paper towel ab d called it a day. The next time(I know I know but I told you I tried) I was buying something for work and I had forgotten my tax exempt letter but I had a copy on my phone. The manager said they needed to see the letter. I said you dont. You need my number. I’ve been in here a bunch and you’ve only ever needed my number. She was like I’ve never seen you before. I was so mad. Lastly they have lots of mismarked products. But don’t ask them for help w/that. They’ll just lie to you. I hate to leave such rotten reviews but this is a horrible store and I hope it closes and everyone who works there trips over their shoe laces(not to hurt themselves but just to be embarrassed).

Found 3×3 square vases that I was going to buy at Target for 4 $ a piece for 1 $. They have a serious section of dollar vases and saved me some money. I also found taller bouquet vases that you can get at Target for 3 $ for a buck. Stuff like this makes my day. I felt like I had gotten away with something that no one but me knew. I couldn’t stop smiling all the way home. The store is very large, clean and well stocked. I bought a few boxes of kleenex, hand sanitizers, a couple of picture frames and raisenettes. Plenty of parking. I’ll be back!

Just opened in Cermak Plaza. Not a bad store, but has turned into a dollar and up kind of place. There used to be a Dollar Tree on the other side of the plaza but closed down and this one opened in it’s place. The place is really bright and clean(let’s see how long that lasts) with a lot more product but that’s due to the increase in prices, not everything can be sold as a dollar I suppose. OH and large isles! So you’re not sliding by the cart with the 3 crazy children, like you would have had to do at the Dollar Tree location. I am bummed that I will have to go to Countryside to actually get decent stuff for a dollar because that store is really nice with better quality too.
