Despite the name, it’s not really a market. Some places they’d call it a deli or even a bodega. Whatever they call it, the sandwiches are great. If you have to drive past Wawa or Subway, come here any way. The sandwiches are that good.

Awesome. Everything here is good. Prices are pretty decent too. Best hoagies in the area by far.

I moved to Berwyn recently and discovered John’s Village Market, and everyone needs to give them a chance. The hoagies are amazing, and are hand sliced to order. I rotate between the Italian, the roast pork with broccoli rabe, meatball sub and their steak sub. All are great. They pride themselves in homemade food. Their sauce is amazing and their french fries are fresh and not frozen. Bill, Johnny and Jeff always have a smile and are always proud to serve their creations. Last but not least. Their prices are incredibly reasonable. Much less expensive than Primo’s and much better.

We wouldn’t go anywhere else on the Main Line but JOHN’s. The best sandwiches in the area. They fresh cut their Deli meats and use really great bread for all their sandwiches. Their pork sandwich with sharp provolone is to die for. They have other locations but are not a chain and you can tell by the way they treat their customers that they are a family run business that cares about serving quality foods.

Best Italian hoagie on the Main Line coming from two Italians! Service is always very good. The staff has always been very accommodating when it came to answering questions about their products and suggesting items. Menu is well priced. We’ve ordered from John’s several times, including catering, and have never been let down. We will definitely be continuing as loyal patrons! ***2/26/2014UPDATE*** This is my 2nd review and I am sad to say John’s has taken a turn for the worse with us. The last 4 times we have called to place an order they have been out of something fairly simple. In addition we have received our orders with something missing on our sandwiches or wraps that were listed on the menu. This has happened 3 times! My husband and I have been so disappointed in recent experiences with Johns and I hate leaving this review but I have had it. We have been loyal customers even with the consistent issues but tonight was the last straw for me. I am almost positive we will return as customers because they do make delicious food but something has to change!

Had a foot long roast beef sub… good bread. did not skimp on the meat, lettuce/tomato were fresh. Good pickles on the side. You get a soda and a bag of chips as part of the sub price. Very tasty. It did take longer than usual for them to bring it over. But not an issue. Pleasant staff. Good soda selection.

I dig this place, for a ton of reasons. The rolls are good, the people are great, and the selection is awesome. There are not too many good places to grab a hoagie around here, and honestly, with this place so close, who cares! My only suggestion would be to get a better selection of drinks, maybe some Dr. Browns, or Hank’s, or anything more than the basics.

(3.5) ~ Good Hoagies(subs). Rolls are fresh and many of the Food items are from PA&NJ. The Luicios Donuts were also good. NOTES: They’re across the street from the Berwyn Septa Station. And they take Visa &MC.

My husband and I discovered John’s a few months ago, and we’ve been going back ever since. All the sandwich ingredients are fresh and delicious… and the rolls are great. I even had them cater my husband’s birthday party. John’s is good stuff!

John’s is a small chain of hoagie/sub shops, not really markets, in the west Philadelphia burbs. They have two other locations. In nearby Wayne and in Brookhaven. I’ve never been to the Brookhaven location. John’s offers a standard array of hoagies, cheesesteaks, chicken cheesesteaks, etc. They are consistently good, fresh, and reasonably priced. The Berwyn location has seating for maybe 12 or so and has fryer-so you can get french fries, etc. The one in Wayne has no frier and no real seating, except a tiny counter with 2 – 3 stools. In all– a reliable hoagie!
