Ever since my friend introduced us to craft beer, we have been traveling into the city or Binny’s to get our beer. After seeing the Abita sign in their window, we decided to stop in. Although the selection is not as huge as Binny’s, it’s still a great place to try something different or pick up an old favorite (as long as they have it) Make sure you find out their delivery days because if a beer is a favorite it will go quickly.
We have been lucky to luck out and find some good finds here. One being Bourbon County and various Rogue stouts.
We also love talking to Pat who works the front counter in the evenings (well, the evenings we’ve been there at least)
Definitely check this place out to see what they have. You never know what you’ll find, and that’s the fun part.

I moved from Forest Park where I was just a few blocks from one of the big liquor stores. It was very convenient and made getting the craft beers that I enjoy an easy task.
When I moved to Berwyn I was nervous because most of the liquor stores in the area only carry The Big Three (Miller, Bud, Coors). I was fortunate enough to wander into Main St.
They carry a great selection of brews that is always changing. Robert does a great job of stocking the stuff that sells, but still getting new stuff for me to try out. Their prices are very reasonable and are comparable to the big chain stores. Due to their small size, the selection is small. But, as I mentioned previously, they do a great job of keeping things fresh. I’m so grateful to have them just a few blocks away.
Plus, they let me bring my dog in, so I can stop by while taking the puppy for a walk!

It’s really funny how little I knew about craft beer in just November, as I look back at my old review. Well, I have expanded my craft beer/​Belgian-​beer knowledge, and that is all the more reason to love this store. They sell Founders, North Coast, Dogfishhead, Lagunitas, and a bunch of other great craft brews.
They sell La Fin Du Monde and Golden Monkey, which are Belgian-​style ales and 2 of my top 3 favorite beers. Plus, they are 9 and 9.5% abv, so I get drunk super quickly from them, yet they taste way smoother than most beers. There is a pretty large selection of great IPAs too.
Oh… let’s not forget they sell Three Floyds Gumballhead, which is often hard to come by in the Chicago area, ironically, considering the brewery is only about 45 minutes away.

Don’t let the small interior fool you. This new liquor store has a surpisingly large selection of beer (most are chilled) as well as a nice wine offering. Prices are about average for the area, with some items a little cheaper and some slightly more expensive. The owner also seems to know his stuff and is very approachable. All in all, it’s worth a visit. The location isn’t quite ideal but go ahead and give it a shot.

I was visiting my friend and I happened to find this liquor store in his area. I didn’t expect this type of place to exist in Berwyn. They have all the popular craft beer along with imported beers I have never heard of or seen before but it was interesting to browse through their stock. The guy working the counter was able to suggest some beers and understood the varieties, which is also hard to find at liquor stores (that’s ironic). They have wine and liquor too. This place is a nice change from all the liquors stores I have been to in this area. I wish I had one of these back where I live.

I love throwing parties. The other week, I threw a party at my house. They provided all my pregaming needs! I wanted to try something new and make martinis for my friends. They even have martini glasses and olives so I didn’t need to go somewhere else. One-​stop-​shop! Mission accomplished!
And if you’re daring, you should try Four Loko! =D Let’s get crazy!
The reason why this place gets 5 stars is because… if there’s a specific beer or wine that they don’t have in stock, the owner would order it if it was available from their supplier, JUST FOR YOU! How’s that for customer service?! I really doubt Binny’s or Jewel would do that. I’m all about the Mom & Pop stores! I’ll definitely be back so you guys can supply my next party (Thanksgiving, Christmas, NYE, and my birthday!)
