Not like I care about this 100th review business, but if I casually continued reviewing you might all assume that Jewel Osco really meant something to me. So uh I’ll let Jewel get my 101st review. Let’s move on. First, I’m weird. I was excited to get braces, and not for the obvious reasons. I really thought they looked cool. I didn’t care that one day they’d be removed and my once crooked teeth would look presentable. Nope, I liked the process of getting to that point. Being able to choose different colors every month made every appointment seem like Christmas. My teen years, well more specifically 14 – 17, were pretty special. I embraced every aspect of awkward with pride. I’d only be able to live through these colorfully gawky days once and I made the most out of it. The staff at the office were all very friendly. Dr Grud never had to really do much to my teeth after he put the braces on. His assistants were in charge of rubber band replacement. However, the one time he DID work on my teeth, I bit his finger. I felt pretty bad, and he called me a turkey afterward so we’re even now. He was wise to leave the rest of the work to his assistants. I saved this for my 100th review because without this orthodontist, my constant smiling and laughing might have scared off some of the people I can now call friends. Thanks.
