Salad was okay. Waiter was good. That is where is stops and goes down hill. Food is awful and I mean terrible. They try to make things right but honestly they need a new chef.

Went for happy hour Saturday afternoon. Nice big bar with a great view. Bar staff was good without being over the top. I don’t see the need for a bartender to ask our names and introduce themselves. Just bring my drinks. Wine selection was good. Had the sliders. 1 beef with quails egg(outstanding) 1 crab cake(boring) and 1 huge sea scallop with fish roe on top… this is the one I was looking forward to the most… but they didn’t have it. They substituted it with another beef and egg slider. Mussels were few, tiny, and the sauce was… unremarkable. Fish taco was not bad… nor was it good… it actually had NO flavor at all. Gonna try this place again for dinner. Hope its good.

The food was ok… eventually. Came with a group of 12, and they didn’t wait to bring everyone’s at the same time, so half the meals were cold by the time it all came out. The kids meal took the longest, and are HUGE. The beet salad is 99% greens and 1% beet. The prices for lunch are crazy high for the portions. A really disappointing experience. There are better places to eat here.

We found this restaurant, which is part of the new hotel in Bethany Beach, a delightful spot overlooking the ocean for a Saturday lunch. Prompt, courteous and attentive service, good bar selection, and a menu full of tasty luncheon items. Soup was excellent; I had a Kobe burger and my wife had a grilled cheese and prosciutto sandwich. Both good. Prices are a bit high, but expected. If you want cheap, there are lots of burger places. We are glad to see the new hotel and restaurant. If they do well, they will be an asset to the Bethany area.

Just went to this place for the first time. What a great place. We sat at the bar and the bartender was very helpful in giving us information about the place and future events. We just had soup(which was heavenly, but the portion was small) and mussels(witch were a little salty). So great to have a place like this in Bethany… just wish it wasn’t so pricey or we could go more often. But definitely everyone should check it out. The only reason it isn’t getting a 5 star is that it is pricey. But I guess a 5 star would be pricey. Oh well…

Very good new Restaurant in the Bethany Beach/Fenwick/Ocean City area. I looked at a few of the reviews before going there tonight, and all the 3 stars and below need to come try this place again. Being a new Restaurant sometime to get the wheel turning it does take a few months to run with food and service working in harmonys. My wife and I went tonight and had Blue Point oysters, Seafood Mac and Cheese, and a Kobe Beef Burger. The Bread … yes the Bread was very good, it seem to be made completely in house and was fantastic. And the compound butter/butter spread for the bread was over the top mixed with dill, tarragon, lavender, honey ect. I could eat that alone by the spoonfuls. Blue Points speak on there own they were cold, plump, salty, and delicious served on crushed ice, cocktail, lemons and 2 mignonettes. The Kobe Beef Burger was a Burger any and every restaurant would be proud of, it was a huge burger cooked medium topped with whiskey onions and egg fried over medium. Alongside of the Burger was crispy, salty, shoestring potatoes lightly drizzled with truffle oil that I put a little bit of on the Burger as well. The Seafood Mac and Cheese or some would call a Seafood Alfredo in the eyes of others was spot on. The sauce was light and delicious with pieces of lobster and large tender Jumbo Shrimp. It was tossed with rigatoni pasta cook al dente coating and not swimming in the sauce done right. The food was average to large portions and it was completely everything to expectation. Our server Brian was excellent, he was knowledgeable of the menu and gave us great direction on some of the items to order. He checked with us several time though out our meal making sure we were completely happy with our full experience. Drinks never went empty and food plates were quickly clear upon finishing a dish while providing a great laid back dining experience. The inside and outside of the place are beautiful and picture perfect. A great place to go and enjoy lunch or dinner and just relax and take it all in.

The one star is for the staff which was attentive. Went off season on Saturday night. There was a wedding cocktail reception in the same space so it was very noisy for the first half hour. The food was very disappointing. We ordered the lobster bisque and special squash soup. They looked and tasted the same; hardly any flavor and very thick. Husband had beet salad-four beets sliced so thinly that you could see through them. The dressing was good though. Mussels were the smallest I have ever seen(and the fewest I’ve ever had in an appetizer portion) and served in a tasteless thick tomato sauce. FISHIN TACOS-swai fish –google it before you order it! Dinner guest said it was awful. No dessert; couldn’t wait to get out.

Ordered wagyu burger topped with sunnyside up egg and shoestring fries. One of the best burgers I have had in recent memory. Also had coconut cake with caramel. Great service, clean environment and perfect view.

Our first experience. 1. Off– season. 2. Thursday night 3. After 8 sitting at the bar. We really liked the bartenders, drinks were good, service was very good. This is not a short pocket place, if your looking for a bargain go to Five Guys. Facility is new, clean and beautiful. Location is excellent(surf view). We will return and see how it goes.

Having owned a property in the area for years, we are always ready to try a new restaurant. We had heard good things about 99 Sea Level, but I was apprehensive, knowing that a restaurant so new probably hasn’t worked out the kinks. But we went anyway, as we had guests from out of town who wanted to try it. I was right. While I think there is hope for this place if they take at look at their mistakes and follow the lead of other restaurants in the area, they have a ways to go. First mistake: Girl at the hostess speaks broken English and didn’t understand alot of what I was saying. Right there, it gives me the impression that the owner doesn’t care about my comfort level in welcoming me to their restaurant. You can’t find anyone who speaks English clearly to fill that up front spot? We did have a reservation but our table needed to be cleaned off and there were other empty tables available, so we had to wait. Once seated the A/C was blowing right on us and it was freezing, When I asked if we could be moved to an outside table, I was told by the same hostess who seated us that I needed to go outside and see the girl at the hostess station out there for an outside table. I said that I had a reservation and asked why I needed to start all over again in the seating process. This was literally minutes after we had been seated and she said«You had a reservation?» I finally directed my request to a random girl who was helping this hostess with her tablet seating chart and she did find us a table. Many tables outside were available however needed to be bused. Gave a very messy and dirty appearance. We waited for an outside table to be cleaned off and were finally seated. Once seated the music speaker above us was so loud we could not talk so I had to ask another random person to please turn it down. They did. Why do restaurants always do this? Less is more on the music when people are dining. Food: Oysters were ordered and were good. Entrees: one of us had a bouillabaisse, she said it was good. I had a lobster bisque and salad, which were good. My husband and son in law ordered Seafood Mac and Cheese. When brought to the table the portion sizes were different and one had Crab on the top and the other didn’t. At these prices consistency in the dishes when they leave the kitchen isn’t too much to ask. This was glaring and again, the prices are high for this kind of, in your face, mistake. Service: Overall, I would say the service is poor. Slow to get the drinks to the table, slow to get the food to the table and slow about just about everything else. Clearly, most of this has to do with a new restaurant without experienced staff. I hope they work the kinks out because it is a beautiful place and we would like to go back. But they need to do ALOT of work before that happens. Basically, a big disappointment.

My wife and I went for dinner. Sat on patio and view is great. For dinner we ordered steak and pork chop. Price was not cheap. Steak was mediocre and pork chop was simply terrible. Maybe we should have ordered seafood but we weren’t in the mood. Told the waitress how we felt and manager came out and comped whole meal, including our drinks. Credit the management with over the top effort to make us happy. We appreciated that. However they need to focus more on quality of food they are buying and how the chef is preparing the food. Would recommend for drinks and apps. but not for dinner(atleast not pork and steak entrees) until they indicate they have changed approach to food quality and prep. Give them 5 stars for ambiance and service but 1 star for entrée quality/value.

Exceptional food. Good service. High quality and not a bunch of screaming children. Ate outside for lunch along the tiny Bethany Beach Boardwalk. Much needed for this beach!!!

More like 99 problems… As a life long Bethany vacationer I was excited and looking forward to what seemed to be a much needed addition to the local restaurant scene. We came in around noon on a Sunday. The outdoor seating area is beautiful and was comfortably busy with many small groups seated for lunch. We grabbed a high top table on the boardwalk which has a beautiful backdrop of the dunes but could have really used an umbrella, as the sun got higher our drinks and our oysters got warmer. The service was poor, our waiter although friendly didn’t visit often. We would have ordered another round of drinks but he wasnt around to do so. When he was around we had to remind him to get us silverware and to refill our water glasses. It took a very long time for our drinks and our food to arrive and when it did we were very disapointed with the portion size. The $ 15 crabcake is not much larger than a golf ball and the roasted beet salad only contained 4 thin slices of beets. We asked about the lobster salad and our waiter hinted that it wasn’t worth the money. If it was anything like the rest of our meals he was right. For 4 people, with only one drink each we walked out of there for just under $ 200 and we were unfortunately still hungry. Hopefully these are just growing pains and kinks that they can work out. Until then, head over to Parkway or if you’re looking for a good crab cake with a boardwalk view and can forego a more upscale atmosphere head next door to Turtle Bay café. They offer a HUGE all lump crab cake that’s worth but less than market price.

Beautiful restaurant, awesome addition to Bethany from a aesthetic standpoint. Service was good. Cocktails are creative and pleasing to the palate. Menu is descriptively very exciting. BUT the food is mediocre. We had the mussels for appetizer. It was bland. The mussels were average size and fresh but the sauce was forgetful, poorly seasoned and we reached for the butter instead of the sauce with the bread. I had the crab flat bread and scallops appetizers as entrée. Both very disappointing. No taste. I had to soak them with salt and pepper to tolerate them. My girlfriend had the bouillabaisse. She was truly disappointed. The sauce was the same bland sauce on the mussels. Please take a good look at your cuisine We want you to do well

Stay away. Service is a problem. Kitchen doesn’t have its act together. Some menu items and wines not available in prime time. Long wait for drinks after sitting down. Food over cooked. For $ 150 a couple, there are plenty better places to go down here. Nice outside seating though.

We stopped in for dessert and coffee. It was pretty empty since it was late(around 10pm). It took about 10 mins for a server to ask if our server had come by. We said no and she said she’d get them. After another 7 – 8 mins, he appeared. The server asked if we wanted bottled or tap water, so we said bottled. We didn’t realize that meant a $ 9 charge to our bill. We ordered one of the only 2 desserts they offered — to share. I also ordered a coffee. They never brought the coffee and chocolate dessert was dry and clumsy. Didn’t taste very good. Server was nice but incredibly slow and forgot the coffee(50%of what we ordered). So, we ended up with a huge bill for water and a choc tort cake that we didn’t like. I know they are newly opened but that was a pretty bad experience for just coffee and dessert.

Everything was mostly solid until we got to dessert. The service was friendly but slightly confused. The restaurant has only been open for a few weeks and I think they are still trying to work out some of the kinks. We had the seafood tower and really enjoyed it. The oysters in the tower were some of the best I’ve had. The mussels were only partially opened and I was a little afraid to try those, however, everything else in the dish was very good. I got the chicken dish at the waiter’s recommendation and the entire family gave it a big thumbs up. My husband liked his ribeye but I thought it was a little undercooked… more rare than his request of medium rare. My daughter got the seafood Mac and cheese and it was full of seafood and had a really nice flavor. Unfortunately the meal ended on a low note… We ordered decaf coffee and espresso with our dessert. The coffee tasted like a Earl Gray tea and both drinks were luke warm when they came to the table. I sent my espresso back and while it was hot it tasted overly strong for espresso and they forgot to bring the lemon on the second go round. When the chocolate cake dessert was finally served it was a huge disappointment. The cake was not at all up to the standard as the rest of the meal. On a high note, we all really liked the atmosphere and felt the restaurant is a nice addition to the BB dining scene. We plan to return and hope that the management will rectify some of these early-on issues.

This place was great. We got there and we were seated with a great view. Our waiter was great and the ambiance of the place was very nice. I had the oysters and mussels as an appetizer and the seafood Mac N’ Cheese as my entrée. They were both excellent, but the mussels were sub-par. This place is great for a big crowd and is right on the boardwalk. It was a little pricey, but it was worth it.

Phenomenal food and service! I wish we would have discovered this spot at the beginning of vacation as opposed to the end. The tuna appetizer was divine, the cocktails were refreshing, and both the crab cake sandwich and lobster rolls were excellent. Ruthie and Chelsea are both delightful and only added to the wonderful and relaxing dining we experienced.
