This is a scaled down version of ingrid’s kitchen. The food is always fresh and served with a smile. The older gentleman that is always there is so friendly and happy to serve you. I like to go on a Friday evening and buy some bread or cookies for a discounted rate. Since this place is closed on weekends they try to reduce the inventory before they close. It’s mostly to get things sold before they go bad. The bread and desserts are the best part of this place so buying them at a discount is the cherry on top. They even have a few sugar free cookie options. They are delicious. Give this place a try if you want some great German food!

For home style food in a comfortable setting, for a speedy lunch, and a good pastry, I don’t think you can beat Ingrid’s in OKC. The rolls are great, the meatloaf is good, and the chocolate cake is rich.

Delicious. I came here for lunch today with my family while out running errands. We got a bunch of different sandwiches so we could try them all. We got the chicken salad, the Amsterdam, the Cali Club and the meatloaf. They were all excellent. The Cali Club was wonderful and I was glad we substituted the croissant for the marble rye. The Amsterdam was the table favorite, perhaps because of the spears of asparagus — yum! You won’t be able to pass up a pastry, either. I’ve been a lifelong lover of thumbprint cookies, and these are no exception. I’d love to know how much butter is in just *one* of these cookies. Scratch that, no thanks, ignorance is bliss! These sandwiches are made fresh to order, so if you’re in a hurry I recommend calling ahead, otherwise just stop and stay a while and enjoy not eating«fast food».

What a great find! I’ve past this place without a second look for over ten years. Finally went in with my family for dinner on a Friday night. The menu is limited to sandwiches and soups and tons of fresh baked goodies. My husband got the Reuben, I got the turkey Reuben and my son got the Manhattan. We all enjoyed our sandwiches. The employees working were so nice. They came by our table several times to check on us. The last time the employee checked on us, she told us the pastries went half off at 7pm! We left there with five boxes of goodies. I highly recommend this little gem.

Ingrid’s Pantry is a charming baby sister of Ingrid’s Kitchen, as all baby sisters are(myself included). I’ve eaten here twice and have received decent service from the same young guy at the register. He seems familiar with most of the menu but was unfamiliar with a couple of the menu items. He’s offered some tasty recommendations and I enjoyed the Manhattan(smoked ham, bacon, Havarti cheese, grilled onions, and tomatoes). Which would have been served on a croissant but I substituted in pumpernickel because I like to have my bread bite back. I was at first disappointing to find that the bread was not toasted(though I did not ask) but my doubts were quickly dashed when I found that the soft yet hearty bread did not get soggy containing my hot-melty sandwich. The German potato salad is just as great as Ingrid’s Kitchen. It’s also really nice and clean. It’s a very cheery spot. Free-wifi = Awesome.

The family decided to stop here after lunch to have a dessert. There were a LOT of sweet treats to choose from, but we settled on a couple of strudels(apple and cherry) and a sugar cookie. They were all delicious and paired well with a cup of coffee. This restaurant looks to be a west OKC version of Ingrid’s Kitchen. The trifold menu looked the same, and the packaged pastries bore the same logo as Ingrid’s Kitchen. I’m excited to find this so close to work.

SugarsugarsugarsugarsugarsugarSUGAAAARRRRR!!! I just had dessert. I’m in a good mood right now. Correlation is not causation, but the consumption of a(large) dessert, and the timing of the happy happy joy joy feelings shortly thereafter leads me to make the scientifically unsound statement: Sugar = Happiness. HOMG cheap prices! So. Many. Things. Also. Stuff. So there’s this bakery with all kinds of things and stuff. Today I walked in and the guy at the counter pointed out the table with yesterday’s baked things and stuff for a super discounted price. You know, for the poor peoples. There were packages of cookies(assorted varieties; none of them looked special though) for around $ 1.50 or somethin’, and other pastry dealies that were all… pastry-like; they’re some amount I can’t remember. But it was hella cheap. That’s right, I’m pulling out vocabulary from circa, 2001. The guy working was brilliant. Hella brilliant. I started kind of manhandling the different bags of things and stuff, and he asked if he could help me differentiate between the things and stuff(so as to possibly prevent me from continuing to grope haphazardly). I took him up on his offer. «What’s that?» I asked. «That’s a wah spice wah bar», he said.[1] «And this?» I questioned. «That’s a wah wah wah fruit bar», he explained. «What are those things?» I pointed. «That’s a wah wah cookie», he responded. «Is it good?» I queried. «To be honest, I haven’t tried it so I can’t tell you», he replied. You young sir, do not have a future in politics. Also. Friday. After 7 pm. Every dessert is half off. That’s only $ 1.25ish for the bars, and the cake slices will be in the $ 2.00+ range. When hearing this, the fattie and the miser in me hugged, then cried, then danced in circles. Regarding the cherry cake bar thing[2] that I bought; I don’t care for cherry filling, but the sample that he let me try was quite good so I bit(figuratively, literally). However, the purchased portion was massive and it became a bit too much sugary sweet richness by the end. Would I get it again? Probably not. Would I be willing to try something else? You better believe it. I will be there on Friday at 7:01 pm. I want to punch something, that’s how strung out and excited I feel. Okay, this has to be more than sugar. Also, the Turkish macaroon is several kinds of delicious. Easily my favorite thing in the bakery as of right now. Random: the lighted sign is broken(I think it’s the T that’s not working), so at night, it reads«INGRID’S PANRY»(actually, now it reads«INGRID’S PAY»). I suppose it’s better than if only the(second) R was broken and people confused this place for a German adult store or something. [1]Note: A lot of words were said. I don’t remember many of them. I’m imagining Charlie Brown’s teacher. [2]Note: Not actual name of food item.

I was just redeeming my Groupon and was surprised how nice everything was. I had the weinerschnitzel and it tasted great. I’m new to German food, so I can’t really compare it to anything, but I’m fat and I know what good tastes like and that was it! Other than the food, the staff was really friendly and helpful. There isn’t a wait staff really. You just go to the register, order, and they bring you your food. You help yourself to the fountain drinks. This is great for cheap bastards like myself. Overall, I enjoyed my meal and plan to take my Ma sometime. She would really like it too.

Oma’s Pantry is the ONLY place in OKC to find gourmet imports of cheeses, candy, sauces, spices ect. from all over Europe and Indonesia. Can be ordered on line or in store. I totally recommend going into the store, as they create the most amazing(and huge) gourmet sandwiches. Family run and so sweet.
