This Kum and Go is a really handy stop in Bethany, a good midway more or less between Des Moines and KC. It has a large footprint and there’s plenty of space to navigate the pumps and parking lot. The cashiers are friendly from what I’ve experienced, and there are always the jokes to be made about Kum and Go. We were amazed by the advertised, new LOWER cigarette prices, which are dirt cheap compared to most states.

Easy in and out from the Interstate. Gas prices were the same as across the street, but the show stopper was the 10 cent(yes 10 cent) 32 oz drink special they had when we stopped in. The dude in front of us bought three pops because he could! They apparently run similar specials all summer and should we come through again this summer we’ll be checking it out!

This Kum & Go Store #0779, located West of Interstate 35, is a nice midway point between Kansas City and Des Moines to refill the gas tank. The petrol pump stations are brightly lit with squeegees and full windshield washer fluid containers. There were hot dog ads on the gas pump handles themselves. Kum & Go hot dog? No thanks, maybe if I were high on gasoline fumes. This Kum & Go reminds me of the QT setup where the cashier is in the middle of the store, in the«round» like an old U2 tour. This particular cashier was well into her sixties and was very nice and«grandma-ish». I bet she makes good Christmas cookies. The PURCHASES: Kum & Go Windshield Washer Fluid Gallon $ 2.99 Hiland Kettle Regular Potato Chips $.89 Little Debbie Chewy Granola Bar $.25 Hostess Chocolate Cupcakes $ 1.59 Hiland 20 ounces Bottled water $.99 Unleaded Gasoline 8.968 Gallons $ 26.00 WARNING/TIP: The mens’ bathroom here is GROSS.
