Jack’s Custom Tailor Shop

This place used to be a good tailor shop. It’s since come under new management and is now called «Adel’s tailor shop» though the sign out front hasn’t changed. The current owner is absolutely horrendous. He YELLS at customers, he yells at employees and is incredibly rude and indignant. I dropped off some garments to be tailored before the holidays, and asked that a specific item be ready prior to the holidays, as I had plans to wear it for the holidays; the rest I was fine with picking up after. I was told that I could pick up my item on the agreed upon date before 6pm. I arrived at 5:30pm, only to find the shop already closed for the holidays. So, too bad for me, I wouldn’t be wearing my planned upon garment, even though I made special arrangements to get there before 6. I was highly irritated. I picked up my items today and mentioned (politely!) that I was not happy that I was told they would be open until a certain time, only to find them closed for a week thirty minutes before they should’ve been. The woman at the desk was quite sympathetic, and tried to ask the owner to give me a discount, but he literally SCREAMED at her, «don’t talk to me about it, don’t yell at me!» Then proceeded to THROW my change at her and told me to find another tailor. Which I will do with pleasure. He then had the audacity to tell me that he didn’t even charge me a «fitting fee» I’m sorry, but I’ve been to plenty of tailors over the years in my travels and I have NEVER been charged to simply try on my own clothes to see where they need to be hemmed to; it’s sort of part of the process, no? I pay you for the work you did, not the work you «will“do.-jerk. He was miserable, horribly rude, over priced and frankly unreliable. I wouldn’t send anybody there if you paid me to. Awful experience. Avoid this place at all costs.
