It’s not often that I’m driven to write a Unilocal review, but my experience with Tru was so positive that I needed to make sure they get recognition. My Thinkpad had a sudden failure, and in researching online was advised to reseat the RAM, as the only other cause would be a faulty motherboard. I tried reseating the RAM, to no effect, so I brought it to TRU. They booted it up as soon as I arrived, confirmed the problem, and advised me as to the possible cost of a new motherboard, even looking up used ones on Ebay as I waited. Then they told me that there would be no charge for diagnosing the problem(!), and I should call them the next day. They got in touch the next afternoon with the good news that the motherboard was fine, and it just needed new RAM. They had also run several diagnostic tests, and removed a Windows error. When I came to pick it up, they had it ready to go, booted it up to confirm the fix, and gave me a lot of free and friendly advice. Then they gave me the bill, and I was charged nothing but the(very reasonable) cost for the new memory — no labor charge whatsoever. I’ll be going back to them for sure, and probably will buy my next machine from them so I can get their service. Best experience possible.

Can’t say enough about Tru Computers. Had a simultaneous failure of an iMac and a TimeMachine backup drive. Tru Computers was able to recover all the data from the external TimeMachine drive in a timely and professional manner. These guys are good. Professional, reasonably priced for the services they perform, and most importantly, they know what they are doing. Do not go to the big box stores for computer repair.
