Very good pizza here but the highlight is absolutely the Mediterranean and middle eastern menu. Babaganouj is super garlicky but addictive, and the perfectly grilled Greek chicken kabobs in a creamy tahini sauce over rice pilaf is just phenomenal — one of the absolute best dishes in the area IMO. Falafel is also great and never too greasy. Owners are super friendly and the atmosphere is simple but not really notable. For pizza, try the formaggi al funghi(mushroom, goat cheese and Caramelized onions white pizza). Totally delish.

When we walked in the place smelled delicious so I was looking forward to a delicious meal. We were served warm soft fresh bread and had a fresh crispy fried mozzarella appetizer. I ordered the chicken gyro which was so bad I took it home and fed it to my dog. Instead of taziki sauce it had a slimy runny low fat ranch or creamy Italian dressing and big leaves or green leaf lettuce and thickly cut raw onion and raw tomato. Not at all what I was expecting. My husband had the paella which was large but lacked flavor. My son ordered the meatball appetizer which was supposed to come with garlic bread that never arrived. And even though my other son(who is obviously a child and was served apple juice in a child’s plastic cup with a top) ordered a hamburger and fries we were charged for the adult burger. Overall a dinner disappointment. Again the smell was great so I will probably go again and order the pizza but will steer clear of the dinner menu.

Decent pizza. Fast and friendly service. Rest of menu that isn’t pizza is typical Italian. Good but not great.

Great food, although slow service on the day I came. Wednesday night sat inside. Only one of the couple in the place, yet took 30min for two pizzas and a sausage sub. Hopefully it was a one time thing as I do like the food.

I remember when this was just a pizza joint. No longer! They have completely revamped it and the food is amazing. Best gyro I have had in a long time and the baklava, made by the owner’s wife, was unbelievable. Beer and wine only but the wine was decent. Great service, reasonable prices and amazing food. Please go so they stay in business! You won’t be sorry.

My boyfriend and I moved here recently and we had a favorite haunt in our former town. We love Mediterranean cuisine and miss our favorite place in New Jersey. We found what we have been missing at Grassy Plain Pizzeria. They are welcoming and an engaging establishment that we have come to love oh and there food is awesome. We are foodies and love trying new places. The best part of my review is yet to come. I came home from a vacation yesterday to a surprise birthday party and my boyfriend had the party catered by Grassy Plain Pizzeria and everyone was raving about the food as much as we have been. Nice job to the owner and staff at Grassy Plain! Food was a hit! We ran out due to second helpings! We will continue to frequent your place and hope that others get to enjoy your eats as much as we do! You made my day special too!
