The food and drinks are good and it’s a great place to watch the games.

Great happy hour spot. Drinks are decently priced and very close walk from the metro. Hole in the wall atmosphere, but I like that.

I am a frequent happy hour patron at this bar and have had good and bad service but mostly bad. After making eye contact with me several times, two different waitresses continued to walk right passed me on multiple occasions. I may rethink my options next time.

The short review: Caddies is a sports bar geared towards the young happy hour and game crowd with surprisingly good bar food and decent beer specials. Worth it if you are looking to relax with a few drinks, don’t mind overindulging in a plate of nachos, and are not particularly concerned with the scenery or crowd. And if you have time for the details: The good: –Outdoor seating(which is not always easy to come by in Bethesda) –Good food for what it is… meaning if you are looking for greasy bar food you will hate yourself for tomorrow this is the place. The waffle fry nachos(yes, those are exactly what they sound like) are awesome. They have a HUGE slider plate where you can pick 4 different types of sliders and fries. They even have a pretty good veggie burger believe it or not. –They always have some sort of pitcher special for domestic beers –TVs EVERYWHERE if you are trying to catch a game(come early as they get crowded) The bad: –A young/rowdy/bro-y crowd during happy hour and weekend nights(I understand that could also be a plus for some) –Not a particularly scenic restaurant and it can be a little dark/dingy –The bartenders/servers will ultimately the job done but they tend to be a little honey badger about it all

An over priced … Service very unfriendly and cocky. Fruit flies all over and the beer is way over priced. WOuld suggest any other bar.

We decided on change of scenery and came here after Rock Bottom. I wasn’t impressed, but I’m not a sports person, so I wasn’t the target demographic anyway. Other people must’ve liked it, since it was fairly crowded. Outside, that is. We had plenty of seating to choose from inside, because it was HOT inside. Our table shared a full platter of cheesy tater tots. You can order half or full, and full is REALLY big. More than 2 people need to work on this. It was tasty bar fare.

The service at this place is consistently bad. I love their happy hour and their food is great. However over the course of several visits I have noticed that their servers are bad at their job. I’ve never been to a place that said they can’t do separate checks. One server got an order wrong and when we tried to send it back she returned it and said that was the correct order. Uhhhh no. That wasn’t what we ordered. If not for the bad servers I’d give this place 5 stars.

For 11pm, the place was pretty crowded, hence the holiday & the Cavs & Hawks were playing. No table service, I had to order at the bar, no problem as Dade was friendly & expedient. He gives you a choice to pay as you go or start a tab… I get it, no table service & to avoid the eat & dash. I had the Hummus platter & a glass of Cab. Surprisingly it was very quick service in delivering the food & even a few check ins here & there by the server. The hummus was garnished with parmesan cheese and diced tomatoes., I 86’d the cheese & it was very good. It came with warm/grilled pita, & an array of fresh & abundance of carrot sticks, celery sticks, and cucumber chips. A tasty, healthy & well portioned late night snack. I was scanning the menu, pretty large selection for bar food & then some on the entrées aspect. I’ll have to menu dabble more in depth the next go around. The patio was nice with the weather with the exception of the chain smokers, I thought everyone was turning over to E-ones LOL… it was smoke signals haven. I sat at the last table by the entrance, to help offset the 2nd hand smoke consumption. Besides that, it was a nice open layout from the bar to the patio & with a good scene for a sports bar that stays opened late. Good place for late night sports & bar food.

Awesome bar food. I have never had a bad thing to eat here. The day and night crowds are very different, but I always have a good time here.

This place is like a divey sports bar. TONS of TVs. Patio area with outdoor seating. The front of the bar opens as well on nice days. Good but limited happy hour. $ 2.50 draft Yuelings. But that’s about it. Trivia on Tuesdays with District Trivia(I personally find their questions a little off beat, but it’s still fun). Our server was great, came by often, super friendly. Limited street parking and a garage two buildings down. Pay the meters. It’s a $ 45 fine if you don’t. Boo.

Easily my favorite sports bar in the Bethesda area. Tons of TVs(including in the booths) and it is right next to a parking garage. The garage can fill up during rushes though.

They check your ID to get in to get food. I didn’t have my ID on me on a Sunday with no intentions to drink. They had a former FBI agent/secret service employee working the door and he would not let us eat even though I’m 32 and look 35! Keep in mind there were toddlers in there.

Young crowd, perhaps too young. Delicious chicken wings, cheap beer, and generously sized Fireball shots for $ 5.50. Seems like they have a lot of food and drink specials every day of the week, we visited on a Sunday afternoon and it was packed.

Caddies appears to be a decent spot to grab a drink and watch some sporting event. I came in recently after a game with my softball team. We enjoyed the outdoor patio area as it was a nice night. The outdoor area is definitely good for socializing and enjoying your groups company. Head inside if you’re more interested in watching the games. Staff was friendly enough, even though they claimed they closed at 12:30, they made us leave at 11:30, they were nice with their request though. Bartender was nice too, nothing special about his service but decent enough guy. It was a Monday night so the place wasn’t overly-crowded, I could imagine football Saturdays or Sundays could be busy. Plenty of TVs to entertain the group and standard alcohol and various beers on tap. I was pleasantly surprised by the prices, drinks were on the cheaper side for the DC area, only bonus because the location will keep me from coming on a regular basis. Nice neighborhood sports themed place, worth a visit if in the area.

How do I review a place I’v ebeen going to for YEARS — since it opened? Here’s the short version. GREAT local spot. If you live or work in Bethesda. After work drinks — Check. Random night of the week to have a beer — check. Always some sort of game on the Numerous tvs — check. Happy Hours and Weekend Specials — Check Outside area AND a 2nd level patio — Check Speaking of specials… those buffalo chicken sliders are SO good. Whenever I’m in town, I’m usually at Caddies for at least one drink. Yes, it’s your neighborhood place.

Was I half crazy for secretly wanting Rodney Dangerfeld to popup here? Even half a pink 57 caddillac would do. Neither happened, but I was pleasantly happy nonetheless. Is it a typical sports bar? You bet you. However, its roomy, cozy, and I could definitely see putting a few pints down here. You want cheap booze and bar food to satisfy your craving, all within walking distance of our little nook of ‘uptown’ Bethesda, boom … that’s Caddy’s. Their chicken wings… aoisgnaeiruwanbedsbv … oh so delicious. Any sauce they can slather on works delightful and has earned a spot up on my list again. Perfect spot for our office Happy Hour. I think all ten of us got out of there for under 200 bucks, and we nom nom’d out on food and drinks.

I used to cringe when people wanted me to meet them at Caddies… I’d find any excuse not to go. But my last visit taught me a lesson. I was slapped in the face with the shame of being a biased food snob. Shame on me! Nachos: I can’t remember when I’ve been so excited about nachos… maybe when I was in elementary school and first experienced those round bulk chips with fake pump cheese in a square corner of a plastic tray(not a food snob back then). But Caddie’s nachos are far from that… My friends ordered their usual nachos which was a generous portion of Crispy baked thin chips piled with cheese, sour cream, and guac. Surprisingly, you can order them with seasoned tender pulled chicken breast pieces as well as black bean dip AND meaty chili — both of which were fabulous(ask for them on the side) Tots: The tater tots with bacon were also so crisp and generously heaped onto a large plate with ranch on the side. Wow. Club Sandwich with side salad: Surprisingly, the bread was perfectly buttered and toasted and the salad was standard but fresh. I drank miller lite(ick) to «negate» the Nachos and tater tots — it makes perfect sense… trust me. But there are craft beers and ciders on tap. My hubby’s Macallan on the rocks was very generous. He barely finished it. Ambience — sports bar and the crowd can get kinda rowdy on the weekends. Service — our waitress was great… granted, we were her only table but she was very friendly and attentive. I’m now a converted fan.

In the past, it never occurred to me that Caddie’s even served food. Imagine my surprise when, several beers deep on a Sunday afternoon, a friend and I decided to try a slider sampler platter. It was really good! You choose 4 sandwiches from several options; we chose the pulled pork, buffalo chicken, chicken Parmesan, and French dip. They were all delicious. I even went back the following week to order my fave from the selection, the pulled pork. Now, I know pulled pork, and theirs is as good as you will get outside of a BBQ joint in the south with its own smoker out back. For those looking to get their drink and football on, Caddie’s is ideal. A million TVs, multiple levels and two patios, it is a great setup. They have reasonably-priced drinks. The Bud Light Bucket has 5 beers in ice, which keeps you stocked for a while, and it costs like $ 13 or $ 14. I will say, Caddie’s can get packed at night or on Sundays, so arrive early to get a good location. At night, it is a regular bar, one of the more popular in the area.

Recently having made changes to their menu– Caddies still remains a top Bethesda spot to grab a drink and enjoy some great music. If you make your way into the first floor’s backroom on a game day, you’ll fawn over the giant projection screen TV and the individual TVs at every table. The tots were totes crispy(as they should be) and were generously covered with well cooked bacon, cheese, and a surprisingly wonderful chili. I know, your heart just sunk… from disease. That’s what bar munchies are though! Surely a mainstay for Bethesda-ites — we cant wait until the weather is nice enough to lounge on the two enormous patios. Caddies gets extra points from this guy for serving mixed drinks in pint glasses! If I’m ordering a mixed drink, it’s because I don’t want to taste the liquor. That’s just the honest truth :). I have to go back and try this Crab Mac N Cheese Hot Dog. Yes, there were no typos in that last sentence: Crab Mac N Cheese Hot Dog. I’ll update you soon!
