Worst enemy… I might recommend this service to them. Nothing too harmful; just a sure waste of money. Services such as these might think they’re protected because people who use them tend to not want to publicize that they use them. Well damn that. Unfair practices are unfair practices. I will dive on the grenade. I could delve into why I decided to subscribe to their services, but no excuses necessary. If you’re reading this, it’s probably because you yourself are considering it. I went on the website for Tysons Singles NOW(CheckMate4U) and filled out their little questionnaire. I was contacted quickly and it seemed that there were people who were passionate about their work. Things were looking up. Shortly thereafter, I met with a very nice, attractive young woman in a building in Tysons. She asked me some general questions, took a photo of me, and went over the costs. It was $ 250 to start and $ 70 a month for a «student»(I’m not a student but this is what I was offered, so it’s probably what they offer everyone so they think they’re getting a deal), $ 100 a month for their usual program, they also had a premier program. The program lasts for one year and you are guaranteed twelve dates over the course(more if you choose the premier package). I was told that I would create an online profile, then this woman and a board would vote and decide who I should be linked up with. What the hell; sounded good enough. Unfortunately shortly after signing up for their service, I experienced a personal tragedy. I knew that I wouldn’t be looking to date for some time while I dealt with this, so I emailed the woman I had spoken with. I told her that I wanted to employ something that I saw in the fine print of the contract I signed– that I have the right to suspend services. She emailed me back promptly, sent her condolences, and agreed to suspend services. Several months went by. One day, i checked my credit card statement and saw that CheckMate4U had resumed billing my credit card for the past two months without me being notified. I emailed both the general email for CheckMate4U and my contact within the service. Neither bothered to reply. I was forced to dispute the charges and was successfully reimbursed by my credit card company. Fortunately I never got to the point where I employed CheckMate4U’s services. If it was anything like their business practices in general, I would have dug myself much deeper into the hole.
