When your taxes are getting too complicated for things like Turbo Tax, it’s time to find a great tax specialist. We have a LLC that owns rental properties and we also personally rented out extra rooms in our own residence. While Turbo Tax has an option for business taxes, it just doesn’t give you the most benefit. It doesn’t know all the specialized rules, laws, loopholes, etc that Kevin knows about. You will lose out possibly on thousands of dollars in refund if you don’t know what you’re doing.

I started utilizing Emerald Tax & Financial Services in 2011 and, more specifically, with its president, Kevin O’ Reilly. Mr. O’ Reilly is a very seasoned enrolled agent/​tax specialist and financial adviser who’s given me the impression of really knowing the in’s and out’s of his trade and the IRS, while maintaining/​offering his services and knowledge at very, very fair price points. Great to work with; typically responds to my evening/​weekend emails within 5 minutes. always making himself available. Very professional in deportment and correspondence, and goes the extra mile in relationship-​building. I’ve gone to him for support and insight into filing taxes, investment plan options, etc. He’ll patiently go over the ‘ABC’s’ of interpreting my W2 on a Saturday evening if I ring him up, just because I want to know for knowing’s sake. Definitely recommended to all– especially worthwhile to those with a growing complexity in their gains/​returns/​finances. My standards are pretty rigorous in terms of what it takes to impress me from a professional standpoint and deliverables standpoint. So, I dare say, with some presumption, that it counts for something that I couldn’t remember many other times I was so happy writing a check to anyone as I was to him last year after he filed my taxes. Ideally, as long as things continue the way they are, would envision a very long-​term relationship with him as a client.
