Luna is a trendy store with unique clothing and jewelry. I liked the selection of items and found the sales staff attentive. However, be warned, items are high end and high price tag and their return policy only allows for store credit. They do not provide full refunds even if purchase/returned w/in a day — only exchange or store credit. Items are much too expensive for no refund. I bought something w/o trying it on — at no time did the sales clerk advise me of the return policy. I was told I could only get store credit — very disappointed — I will not return with business.

Luna features a wonderful collection of trendy, high end casual ware. The shop is very organized, and despite being small, boasts a large selection of clothing and accessories. Mannequins and displays delight. The Cons? Frankly, a big factor when considering the shop’s boutique style: Lackluster customer service. I frequently find this location adequately staffed, but receive little more than a greeting. Most recently, I stopped on for a brief visit but found three different employees focused on the same task. Other customers came and went, but as mentioned, only received a greeting. On another occasion, I stopped in on a big pre-Mother’s Day shopping weekend and was not greeted or offered any assistance. Employees glanced over me to communicate with each other. I understand that I can ask questions, but as a retail manager, I know the value and impact of customer service and engagement to build satisfied and returning clientele. I’m sad to say I will no longer be returning to shop or browse at Luna, despite their trendy selection and convenient location. The employees here have created a dismal shopping experience; I hope some customer service changes can be made in the future.

When I’m in DC, I usually stop at Luna. Over the years, I’ve liked the lines that they carry. It’s a small intimate shop that is very well edited. However over the past five years, I have had the same less than pleasant experience. No greeting when customers enter – the shop isn’t big enough not to welcome customers. This time I walked and began looking thoroughly through the racks as I do at small boutiques like this, still no acknowledgement. There were two sales people, young, but obviously not trained in customer service. This has happened year after year and what I do is walk out, meaning you, Luna, you lost yet another sale. What is up with your staff? I found it unacceptable that a small boutique has such appallingly bad service. One reason I like small boutiques is their attention to service. Luna you lack that in spades. You’re getting called out and I no longer recommending you to friends looking for a boutique like yours. I’m done shopping there SO fellow shoppers you’ve been warned!

I shopped here one time about 3 – 4 years ago. I bought a pair of Citizen jeans that were on sale. Paid with my credit card, went home and didn’t think twice about it. Imagine my total shock the next day when a police man showed up at my door saying that the clerk had accused me of shop lifting! I mean seriously, what kind of shop lifter would pay with their own credit card?!? Obviously I never stepped foot in the store again and over the years I have made sure to pass on this word of warning to others.

Great management and team helping you in the store. Their selection of clothing, denim, and jewelry is fabulous. Great dresses as well. It is definitely a go to store!

Very expensive store selling high end casual clothings. This store definitely caters to the rich people in the area. The women who work there just have this nasty attitude especially when they don’t feel you are good enough for the store. I went in there a few times and found jeans that I liked but the lacklustre treatment just sucks. I don’t care for it unless I have to but I stopped going there for couple years now. One of those places you can easily overlook for another place with much better service!

the clothes in here are fine, but the service is despicable. for the location and expectations i have, they were certainly not met. very disappointing. i would want to go in and browse the clothes but their lack of service has knocked the store off my «go-to» list of shopping.

If you’re in the the Bethesda area, Luna is definitely worth a visit. First of all, they have a great selection of my favorite designers: Milly, Nanette Lepore, DVF, Trina Turk, Ella Moss, Splendid, and Shoshanna. The clothes and accessories are very tastefully chosen, and generally have a preppy/classic twist to otherwise trendy items. Their jewelry is nice as well and remarkably much more affordable than the rest of the clothes. It’s a mid size boutique, but extremely well organized by concept. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, or need any sort of assistance, the salesgirls are great — super nice and very helpful. Granted, I was home on break and so went in on a weekday morning and so essentially had the store to myself, but they couldn’t have been friendlier or more patient as I tried on pair after pair of trouser jeans — they had genuine advice for me too, which I always appreciate. The prices are pretty high, but that’s understandable given the labels they carry. Furthermore, I’ve been in there plenty of times with the intention of just looking around, which is fine by them — browsing doesn’t elicit the same sort of judgment that you might find at similar stores. Definitely swing through Luna the next time you’re in Bethesda — you might even catch one of their AWESOME sales(think 70% off of certain merchandise)!

Just dropped a big chunk of my bonus at Luna. Not the first time, I’m afraid, as I’m a sucker for the labels they carry(Nanette Lepore, Citizens of Humanity, Chip & Pepper, Curtsey). Pretty girlie dresses, Kooba bags, other accessories you need for your new outfits(lots of jewelry, Nu Bra and Spanx included). But darn it can get expensive in a hurry when jeans tend to start around $ 135. The return policy is store credit only and within 14 days of purchase. Don’t cut those tags off ’til you’re sure!
