While my experience with Bethesda Family Dentistry was largely… well, not great… I really thought Dr. Gramkee did an amazing job for me. I was getting an extraction, one of my wisdom teeth, and he was so patient with me. I was nervous that it would hurt, and was concerned that I would need to be knocked out, or at least get the gas. He assured me that novocaine would be suitable, but he made sure to tell me that, if I felt –anything at all-​, we could go the laughing gas route. He tolerated my fidgety behavior during his inspection of the area, and told me exactly which of the injections for the novocaine would pinch or hurt in any way.
He didn’t try to add anything — In fact, he saved me money by not pushing the gas, etc. This might be because he doesn’t take insurance, but even without the insurance, the extraction was only $ 125, and he had such a great bedside manner that I was totally unconcerned about having to cover the cost myself.
The downside is that I really don’t want to ever go back to Bethesda Family Dentistry. I was totally displeased with most everything else about the practice.
