This is a hidden gem in Bethesda. If you can figure out how to get here it is great-​clean, organized, wonderful service. I haven’t had a bad cut here and the prices are competitive and they spend time on you. The atmosphere is very calm and peaceful as well, as it is on the ground floor of the beautiful Promenade.

Mitra is the most conscientous, concise, lovely hairdresser that I have met. I am a model and actress, and am in the spotlight often. She is the only one I trust to style my hair. Take her a picture, and she’ll mimic it perfectly! Ask her to show you the best style for you, and you will leave very happy! Also, the salon’s location is perfect — easy access and tons of parking. The salon itself is clean and spacious. I highly recommend!!!

I have been a client of Peter’s for about 25 years and can’t imagine going to anyone else. He is an excellent colorist/​hair cutter and I am frequently asked who does my hair! Peter always takes his time and makes every client feel special. He’s a cheerful guy who obviously loves what he does and makes every client feel comfortable. He continues to keep abreast of new techniques and processes yet doesn’t push products on clients. He has integrity and character and is a great person. The customer always comes first.
The staff are all warm and courteous and I consider them family. New Wave is a great place!

Sima is awesome! Get Hydrafacial, one of the best facials I have had! Also does great with eyebrow threading and waxing! Waxing is painless, honestly I have had some bad experiences but she makes it so easy and quick.

I have been going to Peter Brokt for many years. He is fantastic! Not only is he knowledgable about color and treatments (gives great cuts of course as well) — but he is also a super nice guy! I started going to him when I lived in the building — moved away years ago and still come. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my hair! He also had been great at getting my hair (and my mom’s) healthier after some serious medical conditions.
