The management team here in Bethesda is awful. The building is fine and the location is good but if you have an issue – good luck! You’re on your own!

As a resident of Battery Lane apt for more than 6 years, I’m sad to have to say that buildings and management have grossly deteriorated. I used to be so happy here that I would have been sad to leave. However, the Aldons do NOT care at all about resident safety, and their contractors and employees will keep lying(and/or refuse to answer questions) even when repeatedly asked in writing. Interestingly, another reviewer of Aldon Management(at 4740 Bradley) also independently noted the Aldons’ lack of concern for resident safety. On Battery Lane — weekend vomit in hallways. New loud, inconsiderate tenants who think that 1 pm is «morning» and that they can do *whatever* they want, *whenever* they want because they«pay rent» and have lived here for less than two weeks — never mind others who have lived here for *years.* Large groups of male guests enter the bldg at 3 am, rearranging beer bottles in trash chute, conversations that i could follow verbatim from my apt(would you want your neighbor to hear everything that you think you’re saying privately?). However, these people didn’t even care. Items left in hallways have disappeared(i.e., were stolen) — in the words of another resident, «totally ghetto.» Aldons have informed current residents about plans to rebuild on Battery Lane — *only because* residents actually completely blocked their previous efforts to do so a few years ago, when Aldon provided no notice. Of course, the Aldons didn’t disclose this history when they announced new plans — need to learn from longtime residents. But don’t bother becoming a longtime resident because management will just ignore you until you start withholding rent — because of dishonest and nonresponsive management.
