After moving to the area, I employed the help of Groupon to find a stylist. I happened upon the magical Sasha who gave me a deep conditioning treatment and a haircut. The cut was exactly what I was looking for, and I really liked the feel of the salon, so I booked an appointment for color. I wanted a color to match my clip in extensions, and Sasha matched it PERFECTLY. I mean, it’s ridiculous how great the color matched. She talked to me about getting real extensions in(a service to which I am already addicted) and I can’t wait to go back for them. I highly recommend Sasha to anyone looking for a great cut, color, or extensions!

Went to Susie for a wedding hair trial and makeup. She and her employee took the time to go through pictures with me and discussed what might be best since I wasn’t sure what I wanted. She did a wonderful job. I’ll give an update if necessary after my wedding when all my girls are with me to get theirs done too but so far, I’m liking this place.

you know how you have those days where you just feel blah? your hair won’t style right or you feel weirdly bloated or your skin is dry, and it just brings your self confidence way down? I was having one of those days. and then I visited miss sasha at this salon, and it was a treat! she gave me a fabulous haircut and color, giving me a more winter friendly update on my existing ombré. the cut and color are both killer, and I can’t stop touching my hair. she also gave me a fancy redken clarifying treatment that left my hair feeling like a million bucks, and also provided me with peace of mind knowing that all the crap I’ve put in my locks is now long gone. all of the other ladies in the shop, including susie herself, were awesome and fun. I like the vibe of the salon, too. it’s warm and laid back and I honestly almost fell asleep while I was getting my color put on. I can’t wait to go back for a hair refresher, and I’m already thinking about booking a facial. I dig this place. go there!

I am shocked by the negative reviews! I started going to Beautiful by Susie after buying a Groupon for a facial. Groupon allowed me to try many different salons in the area for facials and there is no comparison! Sarah is an incredible esthetician — not only does she provide expert skin care, she also makes sure to make it an incredibly relaxing experience. I have never felt rushed, even when I have arrived for my appointment a few minutes late. I have fallen asleep more than once during one of her facials. I have no problem paying full price for a facial with Sarah because she is worth every penny! She also gives great skin care advice. Not to mention, she is an amazing waxer — they don’t call her the«browista» for nothing. I am super meticulous about my eyebrows and I have never had to pluck at home after my wax to fix her work like I do with anyone else. The salon itself is clean and pleasant. The owner Susie knows me by name even though I come to the salon only every few months. She even was accommodating by letting me in to make a purchase while the salon was closed and she just happened to be there meeting with her accountant. She even would have been fine with doing a quick wax had that been the reason I stopped by. I am also a huge fan of the salon since they carry Hylunia skin care products — my skin looks amazing and the products are free of everything bad! Don’t let the negative reviews scare you!

I went to Susie’s for my wedding hair and makeup. She did an absolutely amazing job. I looked and felt gorgeous, and my guests kept raving about my look. Her salon has a nice environment with talented, friendly stylists. I think her prices are fair for the high quality of work that they do. I’ve already been back for a glazing and a haircut. All my experiences at Susie’s have been very positive. I’ll be a regular customer.

I was introduced to Susie through a Groupon promotion and have returned 3 times. She has done amazing work with my cut and color. As well as makeup tips for the«over 50 gal». The staff has been always courteous and fun:)

I wish there was a zero or a negative rating, then I would had given this place that rating. I was only 5 minutes late on my appointment and they cancelled it. On top of that they charge 25 $ for rebooking the appointment., Are you kidding me? Which other hair salon in the area charges like this. This practice is tolally unscrupulous. Don’t go here, with a groupon deal, which I meant to. Big mistake. Should have seen the other reviews before taking this deal. SAVEYOURMONEY… You have been warned. Go to Aveda. And Beautiful by susie, your hair salon is shortlived. If you keep duping your customers like this, you are not going to stay longer in the business. YOUSUCK and so does your unethical practice.

Though I made my Cut/Color/Chem Shot & massage Groupon appts in advance INPERSON w/Vita, the salon waited until I returned & was in the chair choosing a hair color, before informing the deal changed!!. During my apt, Lindsay told me a $ 202nd process color would be charged because my roots were grown out more than an inch, saying it was stated in the fine print. I placed it before her & asked her to show me; she confirmed it was NOT printed on my certificate, but it was still their policy irregardless, giving me the choice of paying an xtra $ 20 or use the amt paid on another full priced service, thereby losing any deal whatsoever. This was a very awkward scenario, but I could see that Lindsay is professional and handled it well considering the owner placing her in such an awkward position. Because of all the time wasted so far and looking forward to having my hair done, I chose to go ahead with it. Lindsay is talented & gave good service, showed a definite talent for picking color, provides interesting conversation and made a pleasant afternoon. I gave her a 23% tip on the total value(not the deal) of the combo apt, because she was a genuine, top quality person & hairdresser. HOWEVER, I found that the Redken Chem Shot made my fine, dry curly hair get really big, like 80’s hair for the next 3 weeks & it wouldn’t curl in ringlets anymore. Plus, my hair continues to fall out in large handfuls every morning when I comb it or wash it, and each day I grow more upset about this. I liked Lindsay, but what I’m beginning to realize is that no matter how good she was, when employees work in a salon with an unprofessional unsupportive owner, mistakes are more likely to occur and will. The owner could have opened her mouth when she overheard me scheduling my appt — she was near the schedule desk when I was scheduling and saw the color & condition of my hair, but it has become apparent(see massage Groupon review below) that the owner sticks the employees in difficult situations and offers no assistance, leading me to believe that they are NOT even allowed to turn to her for support or solving a conflict. Their«newly» offered Groupons mention the extra $ 20 for a 2nd process color. This is proof that the deal omission error was on THEIR part, it is obvious that customer dissatisfaction led them to now print this UPFRONT. Believe me, this is NODEAL! I also scheduled a Groupon for massage during my first visit as well, for which I was told there was a FOURMONTHWAIT!!, YET they are SELLINGMORE Groupons … The receptionist offered a reflexology appt the following week in exchange, which I happily accepted. However!!, turns out the receptionist is the reflexologist w/extremely unprofessional behavior. Ms. KillJoy never introduced herself. When I arrived for my apt, Vita admonished me several times for having a 90 minute groupon, because she scheduled me for only 60 minutes & the shop closed in 60 minutes. She repeatedly made extremely frustrating statements of what she would NOT do, instead of offering solutions. Then she would just stand there, become quiet & not resolve the issue! Susie, again, only a few feet away, did nothing to resolve the conflict. Then Vita began making up lies about re-stating the length of apt time on her confirmation call & that I should’ve have corrected her. Yet, when I replayed the voice-mail & re-read the e-mail confirmation, both stated only the START time of the apt. If she had re-stated the length of time in her confirmation reminder, I definitely would’ve corrected it immediately. Looking back, I think she was attempting to cover her behind, in fear of reprisals from the owner. Regardless of who made the error, I was willing to split up the 90 minutes or combine it w/a gift groupon my boyfriend bought me. Not only did she want me to forgo and lose 30 minutes, she told my BF I could not use his gift, except at face value or he should use it himself or give to someone else! So, if you bought one as a gift & unknowingly that person had already tried the salon, they’re out of luck! Wo, way to punish gift-givers & recipients! Finally, she rescheduled the 90 min apt. Mind you, the owner was present and watching each of the conflicting price/appt issues, but she chose NOT to assist the staff or the customer. When I called to cancel the reschedule, because Groupon refunded my BF and me, I left Susie a msg to call me for details. She never returned the call. No one likes to get into an argument w/their technician. Hurt feelings affect service. A beauty parlor is supposed to be an uplifting positive experience. The owner should handle discrepancies. Susie pretends not to notice when she sees unhappy faces in conflict. Then she doesn’t return calls from unsatisfied customers nor make any attempt to retain your business or have her staff learn from errors! Suzy really should work more on the Beauty of business.

By far the WORST salon I have ever been to in my life. It is no wonder she keeps having Groupon specials; she can’t keep business! Buyer beware. Found her online, noticed she offers eyebrow waxing & that she opened at 10 am on Wed’s. Decided to stop in at 12 to get them waxed & what happed next is unbelievable. Not only was I turned away bc I was told there was someone coming in at 1pm for their eyebrows, but that I also needed to make an appt. NOWHERE on her website does it mention that you must make an appt first. I then find out that the was WASN’T EVENHOT yet AT12!!! 2HOURSAFTERYOUAREOPEN! What? After Susie offended me with her unprofessional yelling telling me it’s her business & she’ll do things HER way, I being the only customer in there, decided to leave. Susie & her employees CLEARLY do not understand customer service and I would not recommend this place to anyone. If you are looking for a top notch salon with great customer service then call Salon Soho. It can be a bit of a drive, but well worth every penny!
