The food is seriously so delicious! My boyfriend and I went to meet his friends for dinner. We got the chicken satay, steam and fried dumplings(the pork), and the dim sum for appetizers. For dinner we got the Chicken Szechuan and the sweet and sour chicken and they were both seriously so amazing! I highly recommend this place if you like good food.

This restaurant is terrible. We got to the restaurant at 6 pm and were going for a Broadway show and told the waiter we needed to leave by 7:15 pm. The restaurant was empty when we got there. We ordered hamburgers for 8 of us and the waiter mentioned that it would take about 10 minutes for our food to be ready. They brought complementary olive oil and bread and the server dropped olive oil on me without even apologizing. After an hours wait with repeated inquiring about our food it still was not ready. It finally arrived at 7:10 and everything was messed up. The burgers were rare even though we asked for medium well, all the sides were missing, French fries were soggy and vegetables were not cooked. Not sure what happened in the kitchen but we didn’t eat our food and left. We were staying at the Hotel Giraffe and the staff recommended this place as it was around the corner from the hotel. Don’t go there.

Highly recommend! Food always cooked to whatever your spice level is. Mine is usually above the rest, may wait a little longer for meal to be spicy(to my level) but well worth the wait. Waiters are friendly and knowledgable.

Let’s start with the basics. Malaysian food is like a merger of Thai and Chinese food. If you’re familiar with that food and you like it, then, surprise! You also like Malaysian food. Bunch of things to like about Jennys. First. I know there are the few reviews that say ‘not authentic!’. But I never take that at its word. What is authentic anyway? If the owner is from Malaysia, that’s good enough for me! Everyone in my party loved their meals. We had a mango chicken which is a riff on your standard sweet and sour. Friend had a broccoli chicken. Other had a special that was a sort of pad Thai dish with steak chicken and shrimp. Courses are small so don’t think you’re going to get an appetizer and share it with a bunch of people. Plus marks for them bringing over a dessert tray and explaining each option! Thai tea was spot on. Overall it takes confidence to open a Malaysian restaurant, since many don’t know the food. It takes great food to pack a place night after night. I’d recommend making a reservation.

Good, prompt service on delicious well priced food. Love the wonton soup. The dumplings are light and fluffy and the broth has good flavor. Also tried the shrimp with lobster sauce and chicken sezchuan. My favorite is the house fried rice. Good spot before heading to the casino.

This is by far our favorite casual restaurant. The food is all handmade, fresh, great quality, and good portions. The wait staff is friendly and very efficient. We’ve had a number of their main dishes. Love the bubble tea and their desserts, too. Prices are beyond reasonable and you never leave hungry. I’d give this place 50 stars if I could.

Phenomenal experience. Great service, delicious food. Nasi goreng and hot and sour soup more than lived up to expectations. The green tea ice cream was unlike any I have ever had. I highly recommend to anyone visiting the area! 5 stars for sure

I’d never tried Malaysian food so was excited to try this little place near Lehigh U. The owner seated me and I was served by two very attentive and helpful female servers. The Dim Sum was pork filled dumplings which were perfect dough pouches with a brown sauce drizzled on each. I love Asian dumplings and these were the best ever. Their size, about the size of a medium egg, made them very difficult to eat with chopsticks. A serrated knife was provided so halving them solved this dilemma. I used both the ginger garlic sauce and the hot chile sauce to dress each tasty morsel before popping them into my mouth for a touch of heavenly manna. I then ordered a rice noodle and shrimp dish which was probably more Chinese than Malaysian. The noodles were a bit overcooked for my taste, but the combination of spicy flavors was delectably satisfying. Topped off with hot green tea, this made for a very happy traveler.

Great place for vegetarian and non-vegetarians alike. I’ve heard on the weekends without a reservation it can be very difficult to get a table, but we went fairly late on Friday and there were a bunch for us to choose. I was very excited to try this place, my +1 has been talking it up for a few weeks and we finally had enough time(and energy) to go for dinner. I started off with the Wonton Mee, it was bigger then I was expecting, I thought it was a side soup, no it’s bigger! It was good, very fresh, it lacked some flavor but what I liked is that it wasn’t artificial tasting with too much flavor. I could appreciate it’s simplicity. We both ordered Chow Kuey Teow, I got mine vegetarian and not so spicy and he ordered his spicy with shrimp. Very good choices. The waitress suggested it so I knew it would be good. I also ordered the mango bubble tea, it’s the only one without milk in it. The bubbles were a little too mushy for my liking but he liked it a lot and drank most of it. They give you a TON of bubbles in it, which I am a huge fan of doing! The owner is super nice and came over to check on us to make sure we were enjoying our meals. We will definitely be back again to try some other dishes. A+!

Affordable amazing food! Flavorful, some of it is spicy but not all. I didn’t know what Malaysian food was before going here, I am so happy I tried it!

This place is special! Portions are small, so feel free to order appetizer, entrée & dessert. I always do! Most of the items on the menu are under $ 10. The owners(Lim family) are Chinese from Malaysia, so they have Chinese, Malaysian & Singaporean food. I cannot eat anything spicy and they always accommodate me. In addition to the extensive menu, they always have specials as well as different desserts. There’s a little dessert tray they will bring around and explain everything. They choices change often(more reason to dine here frequently). It’s near Lehigh University so it draws an eclectic crowd, which gives the place a very International feel. There is 2 hour free parking across the street and it’s BYOB. There’s a liquor store across the street, but if you don’t drink alcohol(like me), you can try their bubble tea. I highly recommend it! There’s a TV, which shows pictures from the Lim family’s trips to Malaysia as well as different dishes served in the restaurant. The shrimp with lobster sauce(with brown rice) and the mee goreng and my 2 favorites. I prefer coconut bubble tea, but they’re all good.

Excellent food at fair prices. I had the daily special of asparagus and portobello which was delicious. Hot and sour soup was best I’ve had in the area. The menu includes Chinese and Thai items. Service was excellent and the place is clean.

I visited Malaysia and FELLINLOVEWITHTHEFOODOMGYOUDON’T EVENKNOW. This food hits the right palette, but you must be open to it to fully enjoy your experience else you will disappointed if you decide to come and think it is a big place that you can get a burger. No. Step out of that comfort zone and ask for a crowd favorite if you read the menu and don’t know what you think you will like.

This place came about as a recommendation by someone who dines here often and is well acquainted with the owner. My husband and I are always up for trying new foods and were excited to give it a go as they spoke very highly of it. This place is very small but the owner and staff did everything they could to accommodate us quickly and to make sure we did not have to wait long. My advice would be to call ahead and make a reservation if you plan on dining here after 5pm especially on the weekend. Despite it being very small and full of customers, the noise level was not horrible. The service was extremely friendly and courteous and the food was great! We didn’t really know what to try as it was all fairly new to us so we went by some of the reviews and recommendations provided by our server. It was all fresh and flavorful, and spicy! My only complaint was that my soda was no carbonated. It’s BYOB which is great and they offer to keep your beverage cold for you if preferred. Prices are fair and portion sizes are generous. Both my husband and I were very pleased with our experience here and will most likely be returning.

This was ok. The service was very fast and friendly, but the food was definitely mediocre. I’m not sure if the noodles were spaghetti or not, but it sure seemed like it to me. I might go back and have another try to break up the monotony of bar food in town, but I wasn’t overwhelmed.

I was in the area for my cousins graduation and we came here for dinner and was fairly disappointed. The food while decent, wasn’t very authentic and was very«Americanized.» The bubble tea was also a disappointment — the tapioca balls were hard and were clearly made the day before and not freshly made. We also got some of the desserts and they were similarly disappointing. The restaurant was also very crowded and pretty small and wasn’t ideal for a nice meal with the family. I suppose we shouldn’t have expected to have authentic Asian food in the Lehigh valley area but this was truly a very poor attempt.

Forgive me for not trying Malaysian food sooner. I’ve clearly been missing out on something good. Wow, this place is definitely popular. I came in after 8 pm on an evening when a large portion of Southside residents were likely in New York to watch the 150th Lehigh-Laf game and it was still packed! Luckily I was able to be seated very quickly(I guess it’s pretty easy to find room for one person!) The overall atmosphere of the restaurant was nice. Not too loud, tables weren’t too packed in, calm enough that I was able to read a book while eating. I ordered the dim sum(or should I say dim yum!) and the mango shrimp, both were very delicious. I’m not sure what kind of sauce the shrimp was cooked in, but whatever it was, I want more. The mango was flavorful and paired nicely with the sauce. Some of the other reviews have noticed this place as being relatively inexpensive, but I think the prices have raised since those reviews(some were like two years old). While the food was great and the service impeccable(seriously, so friendly and so attentive!), the price was a little higher than I thought it should have been. For $ 20, I should have had more leftovers than 2 dim sum. Trust me, I don’t eat a lot in one sitting, so when I say it isn’t a lot of food, it’s not. College students looking for a cheap eat with lots of food, beware. Those with real salaries who can spare a few bucks, you’ll love this place! Would I come here again? Sure, if I wanted to treat myself to something nice, but given the price, this is not the place I’ll frequent when I’m too lazy to cook for myself.

Decent food, but can largely find something similar or the same at cheaper Asian restaurants. Menu is overall largely plain. Prices range from $ 8-$ 10, which in my opinion is kind of pricey for regular stir fried noodles which go for $ 6-$ 7 at Chinese restaurants. Drinks are kind of expensive here, with an iced tea for $ 2 and Boba milk tea for $ 4. Especially for nothing particular great or unique about the drinks.
